Monterey Dreaming

I'm considering a move to Chicago in the medium/long-range future and don't know too much about neighborhoods. I don't have kids (and don't intend to), but am interested in a safe neighborhood with good access to transit. Cost is VERY MUCH a factor (I'm a teacher).

I don't speak Chinese and need some help. I have this address. It's from my coworker in Beijing. I don't know how to write it in English so I can give it to others in the USA. Can you help?

I don't want to unfriend her as it would break her heart. She's a very sweet girl. But, many of my posts (and those of my friends) are a bit more mature than I would care for her to see. So how can I change my settings so that she (and only she) is only able to see the most limited possible parts of my wall? I'm very confused, especially after all the recent updates.

I never intentionally meant for him to be "limited" but for some reason he is. Anyway, I want to switch him and can't figure out how. Facebook's help section is useless.

I'm an American living in Korea and Splenda, while available, is expensive and difficult to come by. I'm allergic to aspartame (equal/nutrasweet) and dislike the taste of saccharin, so I'm looking for an alternative. Xylitol is easy to get and cheap in Korea but I've never tried it and was wondering what other people thought. What's your opinion?

A buddy of mine lives in Korea and his wife is expecting, so we're just sorting out alternatives to them moving back to the States.

I'm not stupid. Obviously I know that it'll be cold. I just want to know HOW cold. Farenheit or celsius (doesn't matter which). Also, any recommendations on what to pack. I'm planning to be there for about 4 days touring the sites and museums.

I am overseas and have access to Splenda packets only. I have ZERO access to Splenda granular so please do NOT give me a recipe with anything other than Splenda packets! Any type of cookies are fine but I'm a sucker for peanut butter.

I have an MP4 and sever MP3s that I'd like to sync but when I open itunes and click on "my ipad" and then try to drag the file, I get one of those red circle with a slash through it signs and it doesn't work. I really don't know what I'm doing wrong here. Can anyone help me?

I have a new iPad and am very new to the Apple world. I've never used iTunes before. Anyway, I purchased a couple of apps on a separate computer. When I tried to sync them to my iPad, I got a warning message that said it would nuke out everything on my iPad if I synced it on my friend's computer. So, I went home and tried to sync it on my own computer, but the purchased apps aren't showing up on my iTunes account. What should I do?

I keep reading about software apps that support "push" and I really don't have a clue what it is. People seem awfully jazzed about it so I'd like to know what the big deal is.

I currently live in Korea and have an iPad. I do have a VPN provider and successfully connected through it but for unknown reasons was still denied access to the iTunes store. Anyway, does anyone know of any alternative method of obtaining games for iPad?

Has to be in Iowa since we're a same-sex couple. We wish to wed in Council Bluffs but I'm clueless as to where to do this. The marriage license I can sort out, but where to find someone to perform the ceremony - now that's another issue entirely.

I know that for part of the summer, the water in the Gulf is so warm as to be uncomfortable for swimming. Also, I know that Dubai has a winter (albeit very short and mild), so I'm just curious when are the best times for taking a dip in the Gulf.

I'm looking into the field of Medical Technology as a career change but am aiming for the highest pay with the shortest school. Also, the cost of the school is a factor - the lower the better - as I have to pay out of pocket. I don't qualify for any form of financial aid.
