What's up?
1 AnswerSingles & Dating6 years agoWhat's up with the coins on the tombstones?
Recently, I went on a ghost hunt to a known haunted location. Before we went there, we went to the town cemetary to see the graves of those who had passed in the location. All the headstones were covered with coins ranging from pennies to quarters. Is there a superstition I'm not aware of? Are people paying their respects in some way?
2 AnswersMythology & Folklore8 years agoDo male ruby-throated hummingbirds loose their "ruby-throats" after the breeding season has ended?
If the males retain the red color under their heads then all the hummers frequenting my feeder are females. Is this likely?
1 AnswerZoology8 years agoWill these plants come back?
The maintenance man used the weed-wacker around my apartment and "wacked" my yarrow, gay-feather (Liatris sp.) and harebells (Campanula sp.). Will these plants come back if they don't get wacked again?
2 AnswersGarden & Landscape8 years agoWould the blackberries explode?
I have some blackberries that were blind-frozen. If I heat them in the microwave (cook them with my steel-cut oats) will they explode? I'd really hate to have to clean up that mess.

I've just purchased an X-box 360 with Kinect. What is your favorite fantasy based game? I'd like one that is not just attack oriented. Please explain what you like about it.
1 AnswerVideo & Online Games8 years agoThe "Word of God" . . . . . . really?
How can anyone say that the Bible is the "Word of God" when it was: A: transcribed hundreds (and in some cases thousands) of years after the "events" occurred, and transcribed from oral tradition, and B: has been translated and re-translated both accurately and erroneously hundreds of times, always slanted to prove the translaters point?
14 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoHow much cash on the cruise?
My friend and I are leaving in a few weeks for an eight night cruise in the Caribbean. Everything we've read says to take plenty of cash along. But how much is enough? We don't want to walk around with large amounts of money on our persons, but we also know that resorting to the cruise ship's ATM will carry enormous charges. So what's the right amount? Anyone with experience?
4 AnswersCruise Travel9 years agoSafety in the Caribbean?
My friend and I will be travelling in the Caribbean and I've heard that gay men can have problems. Will there be issues in Antigua, the British Virgin Islands, or the Bahamas? We will be on a cruise ship, but will be enjoying the islands.

3 AnswersOlympics9 years agoCan someone identify this plant for me?
At first, I thought it was a very early blooming speedwell, as it is in that bed. But the leaves are in rings of three at intervals along the stem. The flowers are dark blue, and star shaped, clustered near the end of the stem like many speedwells, but not as tightly packed.
1 AnswerGarden & Landscape1 decade agoQuestion about Yahoo!Answers categories?
Does anyone else feel that Tattoos should be moved out of "Beauty and Style." I think it would be better placed in "Society and Culture."

3 AnswersOther - Food & Drink1 decade agoOrange and brown butterflies/moths?
I saw these little guys on the butterfly bushes and Russian sage in my backyard. They are small, only a bit larger than an American quarter. Beautifully patterned in orange and brown. When they are at rest on a surface, the lower wings are held flat (like a moth) but the upper two wings are held upright (like a butterfly). Anyone know what these butterflies are?
1 AnswerZoology1 decade agoDream about a third foot? WTF?
Last night I dreamt that I was growing a third foot. It was growing on the inside (big toe side) of my right foot, sort of at a perpendicular angle to it. Any thoughts?
5 AnswersMythology & Folklore1 decade agoSome white-tail deer (and I assume other species) have atypical antlers?
Does a deer with atypical antlers always have atypical antlers, or can they have normal ones? Is it a mutation in the individual deer?
2 AnswersZoology1 decade agoI saw something making the assertion and Anderson Cooper was gay?
Did I miss him coming out or is this just an assumption?
5 AnswersLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender1 decade agoThis question is for those who have seen "Eclipse" but not read the book?
I enjoy a "good" vampire story as much as the next person. I shall leave my personal opinion of S. Meyers writing talents aside. The fight scenes in Eclipse were very well done. I enjoyed them. Kristin Stewart got through this film without looking mildly constipated throughout. But I suddenly realized near the end of the film, that Bella Swan is possibly one of most stupid heroines created in recent cinema history. What are your opinions?
1 AnswerMovies1 decade agoStatus of the "nation" of Kosovo?
How many nations have recognized the independence of Kosovo? I understand that the United States has. Russia has declared it's independence "illegal?"
