Are Athiests more obsessed with God than Christians are?
It seems they spend a lot of time in this section. I mean I don't really believe in space shapes and ETs, but at the same time I don't spend hours on a website trying to rationalize with those who do.
26 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoIf black people have evolved to be?
black because of their skin pigmentation response to the sun then why are they not indigenous to the area that is most exposed to the sun. ie around the equator.
Black people are only indigenous to Africa. Yet places like Nigeria are of colder climates than parts of Indonesia, Brazil, Columbia.
Surely there must be other factors involved the variations of appearance than response to environment.
22 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoChristians! Do you speak in tongues?
I have recently started attending a pentecostal fellowship. Occasionally they do speak in tongues.
Has anyone had this experience and what exactly is happening when this occurs?
18 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoChristians, are you born again?
I would be interested the opinions of people who consider themselves Christians and whether or not they feel the need to be Born again.
Is it necessary or is believing in God enough.
25 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoDo all atheists believe in Evolution?
Or are there any other theories about the origin of life/
46 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoShould Atheists say thank you to Christians?
Do atheists feel they owe Christianity a huge debt of gradatude for the huge amount of charity work that they have provided to places like Africa. Some groups estimate it to be over 90 percent of all donations are either given by Christians or donated to Christian based groups.
39 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoHow did a tree get into the rock?
There are hundreds of examples of fossilized trees standing upright, being found in the middle of rock layers that took millions of years to develop. How did a tree get in there. Surely it would have grown on top of the layers, rather than the layers growing up around it.

3 AnswersGeography1 decade agoHow is the age of fossils calculated?
We read about the predicted age of fossils and rocks etc. I recently read that Carbon Dating can not be used accurately on fossils. How then is their date of origin calculated?
I know this is in the wrong section but I was getting no response in Science so though some of the evolutionists in the religious section might know
19 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoAbortion? When does the status change?
For those who are pro abortion, there must be a stage were termination becomes acceptable and a stage when it is not acceptable. At what stage does this change and what is your reasons for feeling this is when the status changes?

2 AnswersEarth Sciences & Geology1 decade agoIf Lesbian women like women?
Then why do a significant section of them appear to be attracted to women who dress in men clothes, have haircuts like men etc.
Are they not actually attracted to someone who is trying to take on male characteristics rather than female.
Its a genuine question.
6 AnswersLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender1 decade agoHOW DID ISAIAH KNOW THE EARTH WAS ROUND?
This manuscript was written in approx 700bc. This was 300 years before Aristotle first suggested that the current believe of a flat earth may not be correct.
Job also speaks about God hanging the Earth on nothing which would suggest he had a clear picture in his mind of how the earth looked from space. This was recorded in 3000bc long before anyone had discovered the dimensions of the earth
Isaiah 40:22
It is He who sits above the circle of the earth,
3 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoDoes evolution always result in positive change? And if so why?
If evolution is true is it possible that certain species could evolve backwards, eg their eyesight, intelligence, physical ability etc.
19 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoHas Evolution slowed down.?
I heard a scientist on local radio yesterday saying he believed that Evolution had slowed down or maybe even stopped. Is this a commonly held view?
18 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoTHINK OF IT THIS WAY?
If there was no bible, no science, no fossils, no churches etc etc. In Essence if all the the evidence/facts was removed from atheists and Christians alike.
Would it be easier to imagine than mankind evolved or is it easier to believe we were created by some higher power.
Lets have a different discussion on this one. Using our imagination only
31 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoHistory is a little short.?
If the world is billions of years old and man has evolved over the past 250 million why is the oldest record history only dated around 3200 BC. The oldest case of historical evidence of kingdoms or countries seems to be that of the Egyptians and Hebrews. Ironically these historical pieces seem to support the bible.
Where is all the other history. Who were the Kings in 20,000BC? If they existed did no one record it. Or did man only miraculous started writing a around 3200bc.
I'm not trying to be clever here. I am a believer in God, but I'm asking a serious question.
20 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoDawkins, Maybe there is a God?
If the slogan used by Athesist in the UK recently represents their belief are they saying that they still think there might be a God.
Their slogan was 'There probably is no God' I think if we look at this from a positive context as opposed to negative it would read.
'There might be a God'
