This really worries me because I just got a laptop with a third generation i7 processor, gtx660m graphics card, and a 1 tb solid state drive. How could it possibly run slowly? (skipping, cruddy performance)

I sold my Playstation 2 for 45 bucks so my dad said he will get me any (PC)game that I wan't. I'm not sure what I should get. I've heard that Battlefield 3 is good but I can probably get the Crysis Collection (Crysis, Crysis Warhead, Crysis 2-maximum edition) off of Steam. MW3 is also in consideration since the graphics look great but a lot of people think multiplayer sucks. If I get Counter-strike Complete, My Garry's Mod addons will work and I will have several multiplayer games including a copy of Counter-strike that I can give to my friend so we can play multiplayer. Maybe I should wait for some other game to come out like Halo 3 or Crysis 3 but I don't have Halo 1 & 2 or Crysis 1 & 2 so the stories probably won't make sense. Metro Last Light is coming out in 2013 but I don't want to wait that long and I wasn't really impressed by Metro 2033. Does anyone have a suggestion?

I just want to know why my parents will let me play Grand Theft Auto but not Pokemon. I tried searching the web but all I found was some crazy articles giving false information. I've heard that the word Pikachu means "god of hell" but after further research I learned that "pika" comes from pika pika which means to sparkle or glitter and chu comes from chu chu which is the Japanese word for the sound that mice make. I've also heard that "Pokemon" means pocket DEMONS but the true meaning is pocket monsters. Why are there so many people demonizing Pokemon? Is there something about it that I don't know? I've played the game and you can't even kill anything!

I just ordered an R4i Gold Plus Deluxe Edition because it seemed like it had a lot of cool features but later I heard some people bad-mouthing it and saying that the Acekard 2i was better. I don't really care if my card isn't the best. I just wan't to play some games (Dementium, Under the Knife, etc.) and maybe some movies and music. Are there any compatability issues and can I save game progress normally like I do on normal DS games?

I have recently purchased an HP 2.4GHZ Wireless Optical Mobile Mouse and I haven't had any problems until now. It abruptly stopped working so I checked it out and saw that the battery status was 0 so I inserted new batteries but that didn't solve the problem. I tried using batteries of a different brand(Energizer) but that didn't work either. Could someone please help me? I have no idea what to do.

I played ALL the Half-Life single player games and I noticed that there is a blue suit sort of like the G-man's in Gordon Freeman's locker. I have also noticed in the end of Opposing Force that when the G-man was talking to Adrian Shephard, he says that he has been impressed by Shephard's ability to "adapt & survive against all odds" in the Black Mesa facility, and comments that these are traits which remind him of HIMSELF. The G-man was never known to "adapt and survive against all odds"...or was he? Could the G-man be coming from the future to change the past and right what he did wrong in the Anomalous Materials Laboratory?

Hi, I have a problem with my Dell GX280 pentium 4 mini-tower. My mom was using it when she banged something around and it froze and had to be shut down. Now when I turn it on, The heatsink fan goes crazy and the computer won't turn on. Later, it started working again...for about 20 minutes when it crashed and the problem got worse. After that, I moved around the heatsink so it would be in better contact with the motherboard and it turned on and ran sort of slow for a few seconds and shut down by itself when I barely touched the computer. Is this a problem with the motherboard, power supply, or something else? Please be truthful. If I have to buy a new computer I am prepared to.

I have Half-Life (WON version) on my flash drive and I was able to play it on different computers but for some reason, it doesn't work on school computers. The screen turns black for a second and nothing happens. Is it being blocked?

I am thinking about getting an EVGA 01G-P3-1526-KR GeForce GT 520 (Fermi) 1GB 64-bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card but what the heck does (Fermi) mean? I just want to use it for some light gaming (Half-Life 2, TF, Portal, MAYBE Portal 2) and surfing the internet. I'm not some big Blu-Ray video producer or PS3 game designer. I'm just one of the little losers that can't afford anything cool like Battlefield 3. OH and I am getting this video card for free so price would not be an issue. Do you think it will be appropriate for my Dell Optiplex GX280. I have confirmed that it will work but I don't know if it will be good for my games.
