Let's say she's into you, same age and is very playful. Do you proceed to ask for her number (maybe go on a date?) or is that not a good idea?
6 AnswersSingles & Dating7 years agoIs it a bad thing if you win a large sum of money from scratch tickets?
Let's say you come from a poor family, still in college (receiving aid to attend), and is unemployed with no steady income. Then, you win 100k off a scratch ticket. Would colleges/universities expect you to pay for school?

Just a question I've been turning over in my head for the past few weeks. I'm a 23 year old sophomore in college at UNC who just got his license (switched majors; parents never bothered with filling out fafsa.) who works an $13/hr part time job (20-25 hours a week usually;). I'm being helped by pell grants and scholarships if you're wondering how college is being paid for while living at home.
I would like to be able to get a car sometime in the not too distant future but I don't know if it's financially feasible after insurance, gas, and the like. Sharing a car with my parents means I have no ride 90% of the time and I'd like to be able to go out with friends, drive myself to school, work, etc. on my own terms. I also just made the transition from part time to full time. My parents are worried I can't handle the workload for a BS in Chemistry.
I'm not receiving any help from my parents. we're middle class, but not well off enough to drop a couple grand in one sitting. My parents are terrible at saving money.
From what I've seen, $2.5k-$3k is about the entry level price for a used car that has decent miles, is relatively reliable, and overall doesn't suck too hard.

Wouldn't be more wise to wait until they're a mature 24 year old adult?
I mean if you're poor, 24, you can fill out on your fafsa without the consent from your parents for tax info. That seems logical, doesn't it? You'd be worry free about the cost, but at the same time have a sense of obligation to do well. Am I wrong?
10 AnswersPolitics7 years agoShould I go to music concerts by myself?
Yeah, I'm that guy who listens to indie rock music. I LOVE the new album from The War On Drugs "Lost In The Dream". Pretty sure I've listen to the song "Ocean Between The Waves" at least 50 times in the past month. Love songs that are blistering yet so uplifting chalk full of motivation. They're coming to a city near me in a few weeks from now. None of my friends care, and are pretty apathetic to discovering new bands. I always get the blank stared look, and "who"? They think The Strokes and The White Stripes are "new". I don't want to be that guy who forces them to listen to it. (Though, We have the same mainstream taste in rock music. )
tl;dr - friends aren't interested in new indie bands ; considering going by myself.

I feel inadequate making turns onto side streets. (IE, going to fast = bad times.)
Is the appropriate manner to slowly creep up to where your location is, stop (make sure there is no traffic coming in the opposite direction), and then give a little bit of acceleration into the turn?
