i am a Christian......"a person living in the state of Christ." i treat people the way i would like to be treated. I have been crucified with Christ. I was in Jesus when He died on the cross. I was in Jesus when He was raised from the dead. Death no longer has any power over me. The moment my faith connects with His promise, this becomes my reality. I am transformed from the inside out – a new creature in Christ. My life is not governed merely by external regulations, but it is led, guided and prompted by the Holy Spirit. I don’t live a life dictated and controlled by the flesh. I no longer fear the wrath of God. I live a life of absolute faith and implicit trust with one goal – to please Him and only Him.

  • Is God trying to tell me something in this dream?

I am a Christian completely devoted to Christ. Everything in my life revolves around God. Here is my dream...... Im at my ranch...it's beautiful and perfect. I am walking along the irrigation canal with some guy and we notice a saddle in the water. I pull it out. It's a beautiful, high quality saddle. I took it to the barn and sat it on a shelf. I went back to the water and there was this really nice saddle horn assembly..like for bareback riding, in the water. So I pulled it out and laid it on the ground. Then I saw this really nice high quality cowboy hat in the water so I went in the water and brought it out and put it on the ground. We are trying to figure out what is going on when suddenly this man begins to appear, out of thin air. At first he is thin and doesnt look real, then he inflates into a living person. He stands up, soaking wet like he just came out of the water and he says "Oh good...Im alive!" Then in the same manner his horse appears..out of thin air..and wet. Then I said "Wait! the other saddle is in the barn!" We ran to the barn and there was a lady and another horse there also and they were both wet also. Then I woke up.

I know this is a Spiritual dream...God has been "working" with me lately...I just need to know if anyone can make sense out of it for me.

Thanks to all who can help!

  • If you are a Christian and do celebrate christmas......why do you celebrate it?

And if you are a Christian who does not celebrate it....do you think it is a sin to celebrate it? why?

    10 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade ago
  • If you dont celebrate christmas.....why?

I am up in the air on christmas....I have found scriptures in the Bible that seems to make christmas fall into a " doctine of men"...."a tradition of men "category....not a day that God required of us. God says not to add to or remove from what He requires from us.

    Your opinions appreciated.

    Thank you!

  • How will you know who the anti-Christ is?

It will be the one person who claims to be Jesus Christ and will have the power to perform miracles. It will be the one person who demands that Sunday is the Sabbath and we must worship him on that day.

How will you know you are being deceived??

Because when Jesus Christ returns...He will be coming in the clouds with ten thousand times ten thousands and thousands and thousands of His angels..and EVERY eye WILL see Him!

There will be no mistaking the coming of Christ....Every eye will see Him at once.

Dont be deceived by Satan...when He walks the earth and performs miracles in the name of Jesus just so you will fall on your face and worship him.

  • Christians... do you think socialism will be what will bring the mark of the beast into reality?

Socialism is an economic system of government where the government owns the banks, railroads, farmlands, factories, and stores, and is the only employer. (People sometimes are allowed to have small gardens.) The central goal is to destroy the "evils of capitalism" by government ownership of the means of production. The government controls all investments, production, distribution, income, and prices, as well as all organizations, schools, news media and societies. Churches and labor unions are suppressed or controlled by the government. Socialism is the antithesis of capitalism, opposes private ownership of capital or land, and rejects the free market in favor of central planning. It also rejects "civil society" and makes sure that all organizations are controlled by the government.

  • What would you say if I told you?

That one year ago to this very day...Jesus came into my life and I was so overcome by the Holy Spirit that I immediately gave up everything that was bad to me and everything that was bad for me. Such as... I quit smoking, dropped a really bad 9 1/2 year relationship, cleaned up my filthy language, quit hanging out with loud crazy bikers, even cleaned up my way of thinking.

Do any of you have similar experiences to share after Jesus came into your life?

    Thank you for sharing!

  • What is Good Friday...What is Easter..the bunny...the eggs?

There were two Sabbaths the week that Jesus was crucified. The first was for Passover, the second was Saturday..the regular Sabbath.

For Jesus to have been in the pit of the earth for full three nights and three full days....places Jesus being crucified on Wednesday and resurrected on Saturday. (keep in mind that each day back then began at sundown). Wed to Thur. is one day...thur. to fri. is day two and fri. to sat. evening is three full days.

So with this in mind...why do we call Friday...Good Friday and what is easter and why, if it is intended to be a Holy day to many people...why is it mingled in with bunnies and eggs?

  • What is the purpose of the Beatitudes given to us by Jesus?

    THE EIGHT BEATITUDES OF JESUS

"Blessed are the poor in spirit,

for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

    Blessed are they who mourn,

    for they shall be comforted.

    Blessed are the meek,

for they shall inherit the earth.

Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness,

    for they shall be satisfied.

    Blessed are the merciful,

    for they shall obtain mercy.

Blessed are the pure of heart,

    for they shall see God.

    Blessed are the peacemakers,

for they shall be called children of God.

Blessed are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness,

for theirs is the kingdom of heaven."

  • Christians...How are you preparing yourselves for the end days?

    2 Timothy 3

    Ministry in the Last Days

3:1 But understand this, that in the last days difficult times will come.

3:2 For people will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy,

3:3 unloving, irreconcilable, slanderers, without self-control, savage, opposed to what is good,

3:4 treacherous, reckless, conceited, loving pleasure rather than loving God.

3:5 They will maintain the outward appearance of religion but will have repudiated its power. So avoid people like these.

3:6 For some of these insinuate themselves into households and captivate weak women who are overwhelmed with sins and led along by various passions,

3:7 Such women are always seeking instruction, yet never able to arrive at a knowledge of the truth.

3:8 And just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so these people – who have warped minds and are disqualified in the faith – also oppose the truth.

3:9 But they will not go much further, for their foolishness will be obvious to everyone, just like it was with Jannes and Jambres.

3:10 You, however, have followed my teaching, my way of life, my purpose, my faith, my patience, my love, my endurance,

3:11 as well as the persecutions and sufferings that happened to me in Antioch, in Iconium, and in Lystra. I endured these persecutions and the Lord delivered me from them all.

3:12 Now in fact all who want to live godly lives in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.

3:13 But evil people and charlatans will go from bad to worse, deceiving others and being deceived themselves.

3:14 You, however, must continue in the things you have learned and are confident about. You know who taught you

3:15 and how from infancy you have known the holy writings, which are able to give you wisdom for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.

3:16 Every scripture is inspired by God and useful for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness,

3:17 that the person dedicated to God may be capable and equipped for every good work.

  • God warns us about obtaining riches on earth, so why do so many people make it their main desire?

    1 Timothy 6

    6

Indeed, religion with contentment is a great gain.

    7

For we brought nothing into the world, just as we shall not be able to take anything out of it.

    8

If we have food and clothing, we shall be content with that.

    9

Those who want to be rich are falling into temptation and into a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires, which plunge them into ruin and destruction.

    10

For the love of money is the root of all evils, and some people in their desire for it have strayed from the faith and have pierced themselves with many pains.

    11

But you, man of God, avoid all this. Instead, pursue righteousness, devotion, faith, love, patience, and gentleness.

  • What ever happened to humanly concern?

My sons girlfriend wrecked her car last night...it was brand new ....about a month old.

Every time I told someone that she had been in an auto accident....hoping they would call her to check on her and try to comfort her.....all anyone said was ...aww.......she wrecked her new car!!!....how bad is the car?!

Not one of them asked if she was alright!

They were only concerned about the car.

So now Im left wondering....when did people become more concerned about the sake of an auto over a human life?

The people who responded like that were in age from 20 to 52. The only one, besides myself that showed any concern about her well being was my 81 year old mom!

Is this a sign of the times?

Thanks for taking the time to answer.

    God Bless you.....with love..."D"

  • Who was the angel of the Lord in the following verse... Matthew 1 verse 20?

    Matthew 1:18-25

    (18) Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: After His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit. (19) Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not wanting to make her a public example, was minded to put her away secretly. (20) But while he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, "Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. (21) And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name JESUS, for He will save His people from their sins."

  • When it comes right down to it, don't you think that it should be pretty simple?

Dont you think God intended us to live a simple life...being good to each other....sharing .... helping one another out.

I mean, think about it. If we were to all have some land...grow a family size garden, raise our own meat, gather our own eggs, milk our own cows......be more self sufficient and be more thankful and grateful for what we have......dont you think this would make our country a better place?

Less greed for money and material things...and back to the basics...well at least thats my opinion.

    Peace and love to everyone...."D"

  • Christians...what do you think about the new policy ?

This policy was passed by Obama to aid abortions in other countries...oh yea..at the expense of the USA.

"Dr. Walter Odhiambo, the country director for Marie Stopes Kenya, said his family planning organization had been limping along on European aid because of the U.S. rule on not supporting other countries on abortion issues. Obama overturned this policy on Jan. 23 in one of his first presidential acts. Now, Odhiambo said, he would be applying for U.S. funds he hoped to use to expand abortion counseling , particularly in rural Kenya."

The policy, (under President Bush), banned U.S. government money from going to international groups that either offer abortions or provide information, counseling or referrals about abortion. Its critics call it the "global gag rule," because it prohibits funding for groups that lobby to legalize abortion or promote it as a family planning method.

Christians.....abortions and contraceptives are against Gods will. The only acceptable form of birth control is abstinence. What are your views on this?

Im targeting answers from Christians only please....serious answers only.

Thank you and God Bless all of you.
