In 2007 I paid off a loan from a friend. I used the bill pay option through my bank, the money was deducted and the check was sent. My friend never cashed the check and passed away in 2009. Her husband called me recently to tell me the check was never cashed and has returned it back to me. The check "expired" after 90 days, but the money was never returned to my account. Does anyone know what I can do to get my money back? It was a fairly large sum.

I'm not sure if I am asking this right, but I'll give it my best shot. We have multiple camera setups where I work, we have 7 monitors that are hooked up to 7 camera systems, all running Capture 1 Pro, RAW images saved to a network drive. The RAW images are pulled to 3 other computers (dual monitors) and processed in Adobe CS3. They are then exported to a Fuji Frontier printer for printing.

I am looking for the best possible system to calibrate monitors on all. I've been looking at Color Munki, but I've seen mixed reviews on how it works. Can anyone give any input or advise on this if a similar situation applies to you?

I purchased Bolt on DVD for my daughter. The movie didn't make any sense and seemed to be jumping scenes, I know movies do this sometimes, but how does the movie actually end? On ours it ends with Bolt, Rhino and Mittens in Las Vegas and just goes straight to the credits, it seems an unlikely ending since he's forever trying to get back to Penny. Is this DVD screwed up?

Yesterday I was involved in a pretty bad wreck. I was driving about 50mph down a main thoroughfare when someone ran a stop sign and bolted out in front of me. I slammed on my brakes and t-boned them anyways. My brake skids were roughly 5- 6 feet long before impact. Can anyone tell me what my probable speed was at the time of impact?

(I was surprized at how hard I hit and the fact that my air bags did not deploy. There is a decent amount of damage to my car and thankfully neither my daughter or I, nor the driver/passengers in the other vehicle were hurt, other than quite a headache/muscle aches.)

Today at work a man was talking about the birth of his new son. He was asked what he named him and the man said that he wouldn't name him for 5 more days until the ceremony. Everyone looked puzzled that he would wait to name his son and without really considering my words I mentioned that it's in the Bible, the Old Testament. I probably should have said something more like it's a religious covenant. The man is Muslim. He didn't look offended, maybe more surprised at my answer, I couldn't tell really. Should I elaborate and apologize on my haste in answering, or should I let it lie? I don't want to offend anyone.

I sell digital art on ebay, mostly photographic manipulations. I have a shot of a champagne bottle with the name clearly showing. It has been altered to look more like a painting, in any case the name is obvious. If I were to sell it would it be considered copyright infringement? If the label was blurred to the point it was unreadable would that make any difference?

Okay. I've turned him into a toad twice, he jumped in water and came back. I've built a room around him and he just disappeared. I find him an incredibly annoying bungadouche. Has anyone found a way to get rid of him permanently?

prescription drugs. She's never had a problem until after her last living relative passed away. The last two years she has been steadily going downhill. Now it's to the point I don't even know her anymore. She claims she does it because she's miserable and it's the only joy she has. She claims if she didn't she would abuse her kids and it keeps her from doing it. What she refuses to see is that she is more miserable now than before, more angry now than before, not to mention delusional and illiogical. We had it out over a week ago and she has now cut me out of her life after being like sisters for 3 decades. Her husband knows she has a problem, but ignores it because she threatened to divorce him if he brought it up again. She's even been paying people to go to the doctor for her to get more pills. She goes to counseling and supposedly they know about it, but she talks a good game. They don't see her acting/talking like Anna Nicole in front of her kids like I have.

Any advice?
