Anyone taking or know someone who has taken Abilify (aripiprazole)?
My psych has now started me on Abilify to replace an antidepressant for anxiety that wasn't working.
All the meds I'm on and the reason why:
Abilify 5 mg - For help with anxiety and energy
Dexedrine 3 10mg tablets everyday - For adhd focus
Diazepam 5mg taken 4 times a day as needed - For panic/anxiety attacks
Mitrazepine 15mg - For insomnia
Oxazepam 15mg - For immediate results for insomnia (not taken daily)
My question is what has Abilify done for you and what is the purpose for you taking it? Are you also on any of the other meds I'm taking and how have they reacted with Abilify?
1 AnswerMental Health8 years agoHalo waypoint classified glyph codes?
If the codes are entered on one console through the waypoint app will the armor and emblems be present on a different xbox360 with the same account? Also is it only the "Curious 20k" code that has to be entered on the waypoint site not the app or are other codes site exclusive?
3 AnswersVideo & Online Games8 years agoIs this a good christmas gift for guitar player?
So I have a guitar player on my christmas gift list this year, he is unbelievable good and a huge fan of Joe Satriani so I was wondering if (in link) this is a good gift/product? They are an important person to me so I wanna know if this is good and not just some simple gift and I have no knowledge of guitars or any guitar accessories.
8 AnswersRock and Pop9 years agoBorderlands Xbox 360 game?
So I just got Borderlands yesterday and I did a few of the first mission then went on to check out playing on live, about an hour of that then went back to campaign and did a couple missions then went to buy a shield and got it but I can't turn in to Zed. I press X to talk and get my reward and nothing, he just says "I'm not one to compliment but you did a good job". I know it must be because I went on live but please tell me there is some way to fix this without having to start over because when on live I got the only gun I will ever need, an invisible pistol where one shot is death to anything and anyone and a shield of 2147483647 so death is never possible again essentially. And if i do have to make a new, is there anyway to transfer this loot to my new guy?
3 AnswersVideo & Online Games9 years agoDog attacked, what to do?
So a while ago I was out walking my puppy (1year old) Labrador/Poodle/Border Collie and when I was crossing the street to get to the field to throw a ball for my dog at the entrance was this man and his Pittbull (I am not against pitties in any way, I volunteer with pittbull rescues and am an anti BSL advocate just to clear that up) when I was dead center in the middle of the road the man yells out "RUN!" as I see his giant dog barreling towards me and mine. I then without thinking try to shield my dog and get him away within a second of hearing "RUN" his dog tackles mine and is dragging him by the leg shaking him around as the man is kicking with full force his dog in the head and leaning over punching his dog in the head all while yelling at me to run away. This continues as he is grabbing the legs of his dog dragging him while he still has hold of mine, he lets go only to snap on hold onto my dogs mouth this time. Bentley (my dog) through all of it is yelping and trying to get away and not once not ONCE even attempted to bite this dog who has his teeth sunk into him. Finally its over as mine limps away as I am trying to stop him. The man took him dog across the street and puts on a muzzle which should have been on the moment he left his house. I am now in shock crying on the side of the road with my bloodied dog in arms as a man in a truck stops, after a few words I can make out the stranger runs across the street to talk to the man, trying to get his name and number so he can take responsibility the man with the pitt is angry and yelling saying it's her fault I told her to run (as if i could out run it with the one second warning I had) man and dog start running away and stranger is now chasing after him while another stranger pulls over and the started calling police. The cops came asked their questions and tried to look for him with no luck while a second cop is now driving me and Bentley soaked with blood to an emergency vet. All I have on me is a leash laser pointer and tennis ball while the vet is telling me what has to be done and how much it will cost who me an 18 year old girl with a partime job at a daycare cannot afford, ironically getting pet insurance was going to be the next paycheck. Quite a few hundred and some hours later there I am with a dog whose one leg is 6 times bigger than it should be the other 2 times, a swollen mouthed terrified cannot lay or sit for longer than a second without going crazy walking in circles with tail between legs even with all the painkillers sedation drug and other medications. What can I do to find this man, all I want is to talk to him and tell him to put his dog in a pittbull rescue (no kill) so it can be rehabilitated from this behavior and for the man to pay the money he owes me and Bentley from the vet. The police aren't doing anything even through weeks after a man same description and dog same description attacked an 18 month old at a park. Thankfully Bentley had a full recovery, still loves pittbulls even if they are a little aggressive when playing.
5 AnswersDogs9 years agoDog's skin irritation?
I have a Labrador/Poodle/Border Collie dog almost 2 years old and on his stomach where its almost no fur he always has irritated skin, red and sometimes he gets little bumps which he licks obsessivly and yes I do stop him every time I catch him. He has fine and coarse straight to wavy fur more like a lab than poodle. So my question is does anyone know of a dog lotion or even able to use on dog human lotion I could use on him since this is due to dry irritated skin that only gets worse from licking. Or a natural type oil I could use that would be sensitive enough for him like would olive oil be moisturizing enough? If there is any oil or cream I could use would I also be able to use it on the pads of his paws since those are dry and cracked? He has an allergy issue aswell as my vet said and she told me to give him benadryl but I don't think its safe to be giving him Benadryl everyday until its winter again, so could you give me an idea of anything I could use that helps seasonal allergies that is safe and would work on a dog. I appreciate it, thanks :)
8 AnswersDogs9 years agoWhat can I do to stop it?
Ahhh, so I have another cavity. I brush my teeth twice or three times a day with pre health tooth paste that does EVERYTHING, floss and use a mouthwash that also does EVERYTHING, yet I get another damn cavity. What I want to know is what can I do to stop it from getting worse, I cannot go to the dentist right now so I want to be able to stop (would love to reverse) it until I can go to the dentist. Its rather small, like super tiny and on tooth way in the back right on gum line. Also how fast do these things get worse, like in a month is in going to just take over my tooth or what? Also can it spread from one tooth to another like germs from a cold?
3 AnswersDental9 years agoZopiclone, Methylphenidate and Indomethacin.?
Must read all to be able to answer to the best of ability. Also if you read the last part you can see that I will be asking a doctor so I dont need all those people saying "Go ask a doctor"
Now I have three Questions about Zopiclone, Methylphenidate and Indomethacin.
Here is some information before you answer the questions:
I suffer from severe insomnia and have since I was a young child, a contributing factor to this is I also suffer from ADHD and Anxiety and Chronic Pain due to a broken femur in childhood and joint pain in knees, wrists and ankles. All have been diagnosed by a doctor and I have prescribed medications for all except I am not taking anything for my Anxiety. Here is a list of the medications:
Insomnia) Ratio-Zopiclone 5mg, to be taken one per night right before I go to bed
A.D.H.D) APO-Methylphenidate S.R.8h-20mg, to take one every morning
Chronic Pain) Apo-indomethacin 50mg, to take one capsule twice a day (I havent taken this yet and my pain is everyday but not severe everyday, this pill would not be needed everyday)
My questions:
1)Is it safe if I take my sleeping pill though not go to sleep. Sometimes I take it but get distracted by something (because my Ritalin has been worked out of my system) and then I end up not going to bed. So I just wanted to know if it is safe to take it but not go to sleep?
2)Aspirin, Tylenol, Advil, masage, heat, cold, does no help for the pain in my bones. And I do not want to take the pain killers due to the extensive list of serious side effects. Is there anything that could help, that also has an anti-inflammatory to it. Any herbal anti-inflammatory?
3)Which anxiety medications are considered the best, as in least amount of side effects, work the best for the majority of people who have anxiety, and that could be taken with Methylphenidate?
Now I am going to go to a doctor and ask the same questions. Just wanted to know if maybe a doctor on here could answer as well so I could have a second opinion. Also so someone with same problems as I could tell me what anxiety medications work best for them and why. And if there is anyone who has inflammatory pain who has found a natural alternative to chemical filled pain killers with death, heart attacks, and internal bleeding as a side effect. Another thing to know is I am a smoker.. if that helps.
Thank you very much, I appreciate your answers and I appreciate you answering even though this was a long post.

2 AnswersOther - Internet9 years agoMy dog ate a starfish and part of an oyster shell?
He is 8 months old, a Labrador/Poodle mix, pretty big dog for his age. And about 30 min ago he ate a starfish, not just a leg or two but the entire thing, it was dry as much as i could tell as he was running away, and Im 98% sure he ate some oyster shell. I have checked his airways and there isnt an obstruction. He has unfortunately eaten oyster shell before and fortunately was fine. He has also eaten dead birds, dead mice, dead fish, cloth, plastic, paper, paper towels, tissue paper, sticks, clumps of grass, rocks, any thing and everything you can think of and has been fine, but threw up only twice from eating some sort of dead animal. I already read that dog usually throw up the star fish because its skin irritates the gut of the dog, and that most star fish arent poisonous. I am wondering if anyone else had a dog that ate a starfish or oyster shell and were they okay?
2 AnswersDogs10 years agoCan dogs pass/digest plastic and some other garbage?
My dog, a Labrador/Poodle mix Bentley who is 8 months old has a habit of eating garbage on our off leash walk/run/swim. He gets plenty of exercise, more than enough, everyday we have 5+ 15 min. walks for bath room breaks, and hour off leash walk, an hour of running at the dog park, and 30+ min of swimming, and a 30 min run before bedtime not to mention all the playing in the house. He eats Beneful puppy food, dry and wet, and has natural defense treats for immune system and digestive health and a different kind of treat for training I do everyday. So what garbage he eats is:
-Kleenex tissues
-Plastic sandwich bags
-Sticks
-Paper towel
-Cloth (but rarely)
-Paper
-Dry and wet grass clumps from after mowing
-Dead fish in the water
-Dead birds and mice (I can usually get most of the animal away from him)
Now that's what he usually finds on our off leash walks, so I'm wondering what he could digest and what he cant, and how serious it is or isn't. And there have only been two times where he has thrown up something weird he ate. And please dont say take the garbage away from him, you try outrunning an energetic puppy. Ive tried training this out of him in the house and outside but it only works if he is beside me or on leash, ive gotten those super long leashes so he is farther away and he wont eat anything on leash but once he is off he goes straight for it and sniffs out any hidden garbage.
7 AnswersDogs10 years agoSo my 7 month old labradoodle ate paper towel?
My 7 month old puppy lab/poodle mix Bentley ate a sheet or two (im assuming bounty because it was strong) paper towel while we were at the park today. Now dont lecture me about how I let this happen because I did indeed try to get it away from him (off leash park) he is a super fast runner and he didnt listen to come, drop it, or treats. He has had all of his shots so im not worried about a disease. He is acting normal (and i know most dogs will cat normal even if something is wrong) he is eating, drinking, running playing, not whining. Im just wondering if it could cause a blockage or if his stomach acids could break it down fine. And if he does have trouble making a BM then i will bring him to the vet, I just want to know if anyone else's dog ate paper towel and if they were fine. Or if there is any food I could give him to help break it down. Or if more exercise will help get it moving.
9 AnswersDogs10 years agoYamaha DGX-205 Portable Grand?
I am contemplating buying a Yamaha DGX-205 and was wondering what your opinions are of it (please only people who have used this keyboard) Now im not a musician and I dont want to be a professional musician, I already have a career I love, but I really enjoy playing and wanted to know if this Keyboard lives up to its reviews. (Please dont send links to reviews, Ive already read them, and with most reviews they only tell you the good and not the bad) So what are the Pros and what are the Cons?
1 AnswerPerforming Arts10 years agoWhich piano keyboard should I buy?
So I have played piano before and took lessons, I wasn't a pro but I could learn a song quite quickly, so I am slightly a beginner once again. So Online there are two people selling their keyboards (no room for a piano anymore) And one is a Casio CTK-4000 for 50$ (so under priced, on Casio's site it is for 259$) and the other one is a Yamaha DGX-205 for 120$ (im still bartering for a lower price). Now on both the Casio and Yamaha site they both say they have a learning tool which is good for me, the Yamaha has 72 keys and the Casio has 65 i think. They are both described great but of course they are going to say they are bad, so I need to know which one I should buy. Im clueless with whats a good number of voices and whatnot and anything else to do with a keyboard. This isnt for a professional, I'm a photographer and dog trainer, I just love to play. Thanks : ]
Oh and if the Yamaha is overpriced can you tell me because Im moving soon and need to save money for it.

3 AnswersClassical10 years agoIs this a good dress for prom?
Si I found this dress online and fell in love with it, its for prom (im someones date its not my prom) but im thinking that because its white that it looks too much like a wedding dress, although it was under prom dresses. So do you think its too much like a wedding dress or do you think that if i wear some coloured shoes and necklace that it wouldnt be to wedding like.
7 AnswersFashion & Accessories1 decade agoMy pup got his tail amputated?
So my puppy (5 months old, lab/poodle) got his tail caught in a door (bone was exposed and he was bleeding) and so i went to the vet and they bandaged it and told me to come in a few days later to check and so i did and they had to amputate 3 inches, He has pain killers and antibiotics. And so uaually he goes to sleep at night at 11 pm and wakes up at around 7 am, and even when his tail was bandaged (before amputation) he was still sleeping normally, but he sint having his regular naps in the day and well its 4 am and he still hasnt gone to sleep for the night. Even before amputation and when he was fixed he didnt whine at all, but now he is which is understandable because of the surgery but its just not that normal for him. He just keep looking at his tail and whining and looking at me and whining, just back and forth between me and his tail. Now im wondering if this is normal with other dogs that have had their tail amputated. Also he has become more agressive, now im sure some of this is because of his fusturation cause he isnt allowed to exercise but its even when he is calm and im just petting his head and then he will just randomly bite me (not playfully but angrily) he used to listen to "no" before whenever he would bite as a smaller puppy but now he doesnt really listen. I just wanna know how things were for other dog owners who have dealt with tail amputation.
1 AnswerDogs1 decade agoMy dogs tail got caught in door?
So my puppy (Bentley) 5 months old (lab mix) got his tail caught in my apartments automatic closing door, the tip (2-3 inches) of it was caught and he ran before i could get the door open. So he is missing a couple inches and I took him to the emergency vet (he was bleeding a lot and bone was exposed) and they wrapped it up and put this plastic tube thing over it, she said that she may have to amputate his tail because there isnt skin there to grow over and heal. I was wondering if there is anyone else where this happened to their dog (the same amount of tail) and if they had to amputate, i know all cases are different but i just want some for instances. He has painkillers and antibiotics and another vet appointment in a couple days. I just really feel like a horrible person that this happened to my baby and having him look straight at me while he was crying out in pain as the doc was bandaging him up and i had to hold him down, really didnt help, and when i got home i had to force feed him his meds then clean up the blood on the walls from when he was wagging his bleeding tail. He was acting fine, chewing his toys, trying to chase my other dog (didnt let him though, im following what my vet told me), eating and drinking normally but i just couldnt stop crying that while under my care he ended up loosing a couple inches of tail and maybe more. I just really need some good news from others that had this happen to their dog. Im doing everything right for my dog but my heart is broken looking my my poor littler puppy.
6 AnswersDogs1 decade agoAsking People who work at dog kennels or are dog trainers?
So im 17 (18 in two months) and I want to work at a dog kennel. I was wondering if they actually hire someone who hasn't gone to school for working with dogs, if they would hire someone at my age. Im great with dogs and love dogs. There hasn't been not one day since i was 2 years old that me or my family hasn't had a dog. Ive trained many puppies and older rescue dogs and i know how to act and react with dogs. The kennels in my town to some training as well, the dogs go for walks a couple times a day and they do grooming. So id be doing stuff like that, so is there any chance they'd actually hire me? I am going tomorrow to talk to them, but i just want your opinions now. And if they would what kind of work would i be doing? I live in Canada if that helps. Id love to have a job working with dogs rather then just some crappy mcdonalds job like most people my age. Also was wondering if a dog trainer would hire me, ever since i was 9 years old ive been training dogs and pups (they were my dogs so thats why i was doing the training instead of my parents) and they all turned out to be perfect dogs that listen to every command i gave them. And i train the right way with positive reinforcement. (not with negativity and without any physical harm) And also im not like the other teenagers my age, I dont party and drink, or skip school. Im pretty much a 20 something living in a 17 year old's body if that makes any sense. This is what i want to do for a living and working at the kennel or working with a dog trainer would be great for my college application for this.
