Does a touchpad software exist that you can customize with?
I seem to remember a freeware program, possibly on FileHippo.com, that enables someone to create unique finger strokes on a touchpad to do a variety of tasks that cannot be done normally. Can anyone help me with this? I just keep forgetting the name of the software.
1 AnswerLaptops & Notebooks1 decade agoPS3 console with PS2 compatibility?
Hello,
I'm trying to get a PS3 console with at least 160GB or 250GB HDD, but I just found out that apparently the newer models don't have PS2 hardware integration. I saw that one of the original 60GB models did have this.
I am wondering if I can get the older one, and just upgrade the HDD (take out and put larger HDD in, just like XBOX360). The only concern other than the HDD possibly is the firmware/hardware of the console. Do the newer consoles have better technology/faster processors than the older ones or has the PS3's specs been the same since its launch in 2006?
Thanks to anyone who can help.
2 AnswersPlayStation1 decade agoTaskbar Disappearing?
I don't have much info, but my taskbar, and ultimately my desktop, are sporadically disappearing on me, sometimes for good. I have tried many reboots, system restore, and antivirus sweeps. But I am not able to solve this problem. I still have it on warranty, so most likely I will bring it to Best Buy for Geek Squad to fix. Any suggestions on how to revive my windows explorer.exe?
1 AnswerOther - Hardware1 decade ago24 Redemption Question?
I realized this possibly too late, but I would not have been able to watch it regardless. On Fox.com/fod, 24 is now up-to-date with episodes up to season 6, episode 8, but will the movie be on fox.com within the next couple of days, or will I have to find it elsewhere?

In the latest episode, dated September 29th, Sarah looks in on the babies when Casey is getting her womb checked out because of the bleeding she suffered. The camera pans to a crib, where the birthdate is October 2, 2009, but the series is currently supposed to be in 2007, right?
At least, according to one of the first episodes and this website:

2 AnswersAstronomy & Space1 decade agoAllotting all RAM to one program?
I was just wondering if there is a program or software of any kind out there than can devote all remaining unused RAM on your computer to one running program. For instance, is it remotely possible to devote the remaining 1.2 GB RAM not in use to help Firefox run faster? Just an oddball question I had and wondered if something like this existed somewhere. Thanks for your responses.
1 AnswerLaptops & Notebooks1 decade agoExcel Line Graph Help (Know How to Do It, More of a Technical Question)?
obviously, under options, for the y-axis or x-axis you can skip certain data (usually 0-whatever)
but, how do you skip middle data
for instance, a stock graph of mine shows the values of Apple and Google over time (Apple is about 170 and Google is 550 per stock)
how would i get rid of the middle fluff of the graph, if at all possible?
thanks for your response
2 AnswersSoftware1 decade agoSwitching Between Yahoo! Mail Classic and the new version?
For some reason unknown to me, i do not have the capability to switch to the new mail with my Firefox browser. I have repeatedly signed in and out and clicked on the All-New Mail option in the upper-right, but nothing happens. Is there any other option to upgrade or install the necessary plug-ins needed to get to the new version of Yahoo! Mail?
*It has worked in the past for me, but not now.
1 AnswerOther - Yahoo Mail1 decade agoWhat is vancomycin toxicity?
I have never heard of this medical term, and google and wikipedia are not helping via exact matches.
Can anyone tell me what it is, or a site that will tell me exactly what I need to know? Thanks for your responses.
2 AnswersOther - Diseases1 decade agoFirefox scrolling issues?
My Firefox has never really been able to scroll as smoothly as IE has. Whenever I visit a webpage, and press the down arrow or Page Down key, it does not do anything, so I must use a combo of mouse and touchpad to scroll down manually. I have tried going into the Options to fiddle with the scroll options, but nothing good has come of it. My Firefox is a legit edition and my computer does not detect any viruses, etc. that would screw with it. What problems, if any, are the cause of this? Thanks for your responses.
1 AnswerOther - Internet1 decade agoComputer Processor/CPU Issues?
I have a Toshiba Satellite A105 Laptop (1.6 GHz T5200 Duo-Core Processor, 2 GB RAM, and 160 GB HD, 1 year old). Lately, I have been experiencing anomalies with it, as when I boot up, everything seems to slow down. It boots up normally and everything's fine, but then when I want to open an Internet browser (usually Firefox), it barely opens up, and then freezes like Windows 2000. Even the simple processes, like opening a folder, closing a window, or going into Control Panel seem difficult for it to do. I look at the Task Manager, and the CPU usage is below 5%, and the number of processes are steadily increasing, with the SYSTEM ssu.exe appearing multiple times when this anomaly occurs. I never even remotely had this problem, and I have checked via Spy Sweeper and Windows Defender for potential trojans/bugs/viruses/etc. But nothing shows up on the radar. Only Internet Explorer seems to work decently, and when my computer was running great, it didn't, period. Could you please help?
3 AnswersOther - Hardware1 decade agoStock market games?
Playing 2 games at once, should be benefiting one over the other, but having difficulties through the current stock market situation.
Could anyone suggest, if there are any, any stocks that would have short-term success, or are low selling right now and have great potential to improve?
Thanks for your responses.
2 AnswersInvesting1 decade agoFox's Drive Episodes 5-6 and continuation of series?
I heard that episodes 5-6 are available on Internet somewhere, but not been able to find. Where could I watch those, if any sites still exist?
I heard something about Drive coming back in '09; is that a rumor or is that something that has some validity to it?
Thanks for your responses.
2 AnswersOther - Television1 decade agoiPod battery/harddrive issues??
I tried to use the Alarm feature on my iPod Classic to wake me up, but when it didn't, I looked at it, and I believe I saw "Please connect to power" show up. So I charged it with my computer while I was at school (7 hours) and it still says the same thing while connected "Do not disconnect". And the battery at the top (this morning) was filling up repeatedly, and now is almost full.
Maybe I'm just missing something here, but what is happening? I have never had this problem before, and I would like to know what is going on and what I need to do to fix it and prevent it in the future.
Thanks for your responses.

I am looking for a thin tv for college, so how great is this value?
I believe that it is pretty good considering (even though not in same field) a 61" DLP Rear-Projection TV cost $2400.

1 AnswerOther - Electronics1 decade agoSong Question?
I have a song from many years ago stuck in my head, and I must know the title of it. I have a hunch that it is Blue Man Group, but I am not sure. I believe that the lyrics contain da da dee da da di, da da dee da da di. The video had scenes from outer space, and the song was around in the late-90s or early-00s. Thanks for the help.

Can anybody suggest a simple program that I can just input current win-loss records, and standings will be calculated from that. I would do it myself on paper, but there are many tangibles in this case, and there is a large disparity of games played between some. Thanks in advance.
