Gunner's Mom
Did you do meal planning for right after you gave birth?
I am getting induced on Thursday and getting those last minute things ready for when I am out of commission. Did you make and freeze meals, or did you depend on your husband to do dinners? I am getting ready to go do the last grocery shopping trip and I am debating which to do. I am leaning towards depending on the husband, he has told me to let him handle dinners, but I don't want to live off of sandwiches till I am up to doing dinners.
So, did you make and freeze or do dinners? If you made and froze what are some of the best meals for that? If you depended on your husband what did you make sure was in the house that is easy for him to make? I have already thought of spaghetti, casserole dishes, but those can get old quickly.
Any help would be appreciated, thank you.
6 AnswersPregnancy1 decade agoHave you had a positive fFN test?
I'm 32 weeks and at my last apt my dr did a fFN test and it came back positive, so now I am on bed rest and have been since Thursday and I am going nuts. Have you had a similar situation? Did you deliver early? How did you deal with bed rest?
2 AnswersPregnancy1 decade agoInitials H.M.M. for a girl a good idea or not?
So we are expecting a little girl in July and have started throwing around some names. He is set on having her name be Harley, which I really do like, but we are having a hard time coming up with a middle name. One that I thought of was Madyson, but that would give her the initials HMM (last name McGhee) and I am wondering if that will get her teased or what not. I am open to any ideas you have and the first name doesn't even have to be Harley.
Some names that I like to give you an idea:
Kinsley
Kenley
Madyson
Harper
Parker
Kendall
Tatum
McKynzie
Kenzie
Also, her brothers name is Gunner Riley and I am hoping we can find one that goes well together. When we sat down and thought about his name it came so quickly and it flows so well, and we are having such a difficult time now and I think I am just getting frustrated so all help is appreciated.
10 AnswersBaby Names1 decade agoWhy do parents put their children on a leash?
This really bothers me, as a mom of a 2 1/2 year old son and 28 weeks pregnant with his little sister. I understand that it isn't always the easiest task to keep him next to me in a store or where ever I am. But that comes with being a parent, I always have my sling or back carrier in the car or else he goes into the cart or holds my hand. It seems ridiculous to me that people would rather strap a leash onto their child, like they do to a dog, so they can walk around a store without having to watch and make sure their child doesn't run off. Part of being a parent is to teach your children the right/wrong ways to behave, what does it really teach them to be put onto a leash and then dragged around?
Sorry if this offends some of you but I was at Target today and saw a mother dragging (seriously) her son who looked to be around 3 thru the store to the point where she was pulling him off his feet, and all the poor kid was doing was playing with some toys that he had in his hands. She started walking away and would just yank, I felt so bad for the kid.
I know not all parents who leash their child do this, or drag their child around. But the same principles are put into effect when you strap a leash to a child and cut out all aspects of parenting that they would have to do it they didn't cut out a child's freedom and restricted them.
