First off, I'm married, 27, and doing what I can to prevent an unexpected pregnancy. That being said, if we were pregnant, it wouldn't be the end of the world. We're discussing one more anyways, but maybe later down the road.

For the first 3-4 days of my new pack of pills I was on an antibiotic for a UTI. We took the proper precautions during and for one wk after stopping the meds by using backup protection. When the wk was finally over, we didn't use a condom. Five days later, I had brown spotting for about 12 hrs...then it stopped until the next morning and I had a little more. When I woke up the next day, my breasts hurt really bad, I was exhausted all day and just off. It's kind of been that way ever since, about 1 wk. My stomach has been extra sensitive, I've been very irritable, hot flashes all over the place, headaches...I never have breakthrough bleeding/spotting when on BC so it is unusual for me. I have 2 active pills left.

Am I crazy?? Would you worry about it in my situation?

If you've gotten pregnant on the pill, how soon did you test?

I used my pills to skip my period last month so I took 6 wks of active pills (Necon7/7/7). I finished the active pills this past wednesday, Sunday morning I started bleeding, it was kind of heavy, but lightened by 10 am. There was barely spottting from 10am to 2pmish. It got heavy from about 3pm until about 9pm then its just stopped. Monday morning there was a little, barely, some spotting, but since then, nothing... Does this sound normal on the pill? I am married and very sexually active.

When I finished the 3rd week, I immediately started the next pack to skip my period. Never done this before so is extra bloating, slight cramping and a bit extra discharge a common side effect? Or should I be feeling anything at all?

What kind of symptoms should be expected? Right now I have tons of bloating, a tiny bit of cramping, and a lot of discharge, but no breakthrough so far...

We are having a 25th anniversary party for my parents in 2 weeks. A friend suggested a game as part of the program. She said something about a game in the fashion of the newlywed game? Have any of you had this done or have any other ideas for games? It's going to be just couples at the party.

Any body ever have a BC suddenly cause exhaustion and irritability, even after using it for 5 months already? I just started my first week of the 6th month so it's not PMS.

How long after stopping the active pills do you normally get your period? Mine normally shows up on day 3ish, or the Sunday following, like clockwork. Well, yesterday came and went...and today is leaving....nothing. I did miss about 4ish pills, but I"ve had that happen before and nothing happened. It's now day 4 of no active pills...just wondering what ya'll think.....

I have 2 coins. The first is from 1907..on the front is a head, wearing a band that says 'libertas' across it. Around the edge it says 'Confoederatio Helvetica". On the back, in the center, is a #5 and is surrounded by a wreath made of grape vines.

The second is a Canadian coin from 1920. On the front is a head, wearing a crown, along the edges it says "Goergivs V Dei Gra: Rexetind: Imp:". On the back, in the center, it says ' 5 cents Canada 1920" and is surrounded by a wreath that has a crown near the top.

If you know anything please answer! I'm curious as to what they might be worth...I've had them forever!

I've been on it for a couple of months now and have been getting more migraines, at least once to twice a week and they last for about 48 hours. Has any one been on this before and know things about it?

Hello! I just started Apri, which is supposed to be the closest generic version of Yaz, without being the actual generic form.( there's no generic for it yet.) Anyways, I was just wondering if anyone else was on it and how your body reacted to it..was it okay, or did it mess with your hormones? Thanks!!

bleeding...how heavy was it? I just had what I thought was my period, but my symptoms haven't gone away. In fact, the upset stomach and nausea are a little worse. I just started a BC pill also, but I've been on it before and it didn't cause this. My breasts were sensitive before and still are.. I just want to know if your bleeding was heavy and you thought it was your period, or just really light?

My hubby and I are trying decide on a new, non-hormonal BC method. Right now I've been using the vaginal contraceptive film only, but I have a doctors appointment tomorrow to get a diaphragm. I'm thinking about cancelling that appointment and just use the VCF. What do you think? Hormones are not an option for me. They make me crazy!

My son has just developed FLAT red spots on his arms, thighs, chest, stomach and underarms. I'm not sure what they are and they don't seem to be bothering him. I haven't changed anything in his normal routine, he's had no fever; he's just teething, but I've never seen a kid get spots all over his body with teething.

It's not every day, but maybe every few days. At first, it happened when I was vacuuming. I couldn't even use my arm to pull the vacuum backwards. It still doing it and now it's starting to happen when I pick up my son. It feels like it's deep in my shoulder, a really sharp pain. I have two kids and am constantly using my arms. Is there anyone else who's had this happen? If so what was it? What did you do?

Does your hubby tend to "zone out" during a football game? Not noticing or acknowledging when you talk to him? Mine does.

Has anyone had an unusual amount of stringy discharge after stopping a birth control pill? Sometimes it's tinged with brown. I know it's not an infection because there is not odor, but I didn't have this last time I stopped. I'm not trying to get pregant right now...so we're using condoms. Could it be because of the lube on the condoms?

Why would my stomach get bigger if I'm staying the same weight, no loss or gaining....negative pregnancy test, or change in diet? Anybody else have this happen to them?

I hate the hormones in BC, so I"m looking for something with less of an effect on me. If you've had it, what are your opinions of it? Crazy hormones or not much of a difference as when no BC are taken.

So, I took a First Response Test today in the afternoon. My period is due on Thursday, the 3rd. It came back negative. I was wondering if anyone else has gotten a negative result 3 days before missing their periods, but still were pregnant? I've been having all the crazy symptoms, but was a little thrown off with the negative result.

If you suddenly realized that your boobs were producing some type of what looks like colostrum, would you think it was pregnancy or the birth control? This month, I've been extremely mean, and b****y, over the smallest things. My stomach has not felt right for weeks, nausea and cramping. I've been feeling exhausted and really bloated. My period isn't due until about the 3rd of July, so it's still too early for a test, but I'm really wondering if my pills failed. As for the boob thing, it just started about 3 days ago. I've had 2 kids, so I know what it's like to be pregnant, but I don't know about this one! Any ideas would be great! Thanks!
