    Abraham and Sarah had no children so Sarah had Abraham bare a child with her slave Hagar an Egyptian . Shortly after that Sarah found herself pregnant with Isaac. Hagar had a son Ishmael. These two sons are who Arabs and Jews trace their genealogy, Ishmael the first Arab and Isaac continues the jewish line.

    Genesis 21 Abraham send Hagar and Ishmael way and one chapter later Gen 22:2 god say take your only son Isaac, who he loves and go to Mori ah.

    Gen 16:9-12 an angel prophesies that these two nations would be hostile to each other.

    The Q’uran commands Muslim to live in peace with Jews if the Jew converts to Islam, if not they are enemies.

    Based on the fact the two sides have holy books that either prophesies or commands hostility is there any doubt as long as the sides believe can there be peace? Isn't war god's command?
