I have an hp g42 laptop and the case is cracked and the charging adapter is hanging out of the case. The wires connecting to the charging adapter are hanging out, and two of them are broken.

There are 2 white wires, 2 red wires, 1 brown wire and 2 black wires. The two black are broken and not connected to anything.

The LED light is blinking an amber color. dont know if the battery is charging or not. Does anybody know what these two black wires are for?

The window was inoperable both directions, so i replaced the motor.

The window now only will roll down and not up.

I was able to roll the window up by jumping power to the motor.

Replaced the switch with a known good switch, and the window will still not roll up.

When holding the switch in the down position i get 12v and ground at the switch.

When holding the switch in the up position i get 12v and 8v on the other side.

Looks like I have a short to power or a damaged wire somewhere? Any body have a similar problem or can point me in the right direction?

I need about $3,500 in the next few weeks to pay for my summer classes and rent. I have already reached my limit for federal loans (FASFA). I can not get any more from the government in stafford loans subsidized or unsubsidized. I do not qualify for any grants ( Pell Grant, etc.)

My parents declared bankruptcy, so they cannot cosign for me. I have terrible credit myself, about a 530 credit score. I talked to the financial aid office at my school, and they told me my only option is an alternative private loan, i've applied for a few and was turned down by all of them. Are there any other options?

NOTE: I've already been turned down for the Parent PLUS loan, which raised my limits for stafford loans. I have already reached that raised limit.

Direct injection is obviously a better choice with more power, and better fuel economy. It's been around for decades, so why haven't manufacturers been using it?

Is this a good idea? its only 300 bucks. 1977 model year. What can i do to check it out? make sure it floats and stuff. what else?

2000 Toyota Camry 3.0L V6, the bank one sensor one heater circuit is bad and needs to be replaced. The O2 code is actually causing the TRAC OFF light to come on. Tried to replace the O2 but whoever changed the last one must have crossthreaded it because i could not get a full turn out of it even after using penetrating oil and heating it with a propane torch.

Going to try again tomorrow to get the sensor out this time probably heating with an Oxy/Acetylene Torch. I'm worried about the threads on the exhaust manifold, i do not want to but a 250 dollar manifold. Any Ideas or Suggestions?

I really liked the sopranos and prison break. Need a new show to pass some time. I already know the ending of lost, so i don't think i want to watch that. I watched the pilot to dexter, not sure if i like it or not. Any suggestions??

I'm marinading salmon in a mix of Soy sauce, minced garlic, olive oil, basil, garlic salt, and pepper.

I'm going to pan sear the fillets, and then bake them in a glass dish with some of the marinade still in the dish.

Is there any EASY sauce/glaze i can make that would go with this particular salmon? I don't have much in my kitchen so an easy sauce with common items would be nice. Thanks.

They are individually wrapped frozen salmon fillets, It says to remove them from the wrappers and put in a bag to defrost them in water. I know that usually you should rinse off the fish after defrosting. But i also wanted to marinade them. should i defrost them, rinse them off, and then marinade them?

Also, does anybody know some easy salmon marinades, seasonings, or sauces to put over them after cooked?

When you are replacing a trans pan gasket, or a cork valve cover gasket, which side to you put rtv on. Does it matter? Can you do both?

Sometimes right after starting it, it will idle really low and some times die. If you give it some gas it will drive fine, but the idle will drop really low/die when you let go. But when you turn it off and then restart it, it will work fine. Sounds like an Intermittent IAC problem to me, but how should i start checking it,i don't have a scan tool with me. Just some basic tools, Anybody know where i should start? Or, anybody think it could be something else?

I don't know what these settings are or what they do but I had to change mine when i lived in the dorms last year. They had me change it to 10 half, and my ethernet was really slow but wifi would work good. I recently changed it to 100 full and i think its a little faster now. What is a good setting? What does it change? Internet speed?
