  • Do you have a car under 20K that you love?

I am in the market for a new car and I am at a totally loss of what to buy. I have been leasing for the past 6 years and I am finally ready to make the commitment to buy something. I would like something that is compact to mid-size and fuel efficient. I cannot afford anything over $20,000. So if you love your car let me know why and what it is.

  • Moving to AZ - how much savings should I need?

So I am thinking of moving from MI to AZ (Phoenix). I am putting myself on a 2 year plan to save money in order to move out there; however I am not sure how much money I will need. I want to plan on renting for the first 6 month - year before buying a house. If I am lucky my current job will let me work remotely from that area, but for this purpose I am not counting on that. I have never made a move this huge before and would appreciate some suggestions on how much I should save. Websites suggestions are good as well. Thanks!

  • Which state should I move to?

I live in MI and really want to move to another state. The economy sucks, the weather sucks and I am over it! I need to find a place that has a decent job market, affordable middle class living, and does not snow half the year. Some of my thoughts had been VA, AZ or NC, but what do you think. If you are generally satisfied with where you live please let me know.

  • Honda Civic vs Honda CR-V? You decide.?

I want to get a new vehicle and can't decide between a Honda Civic or CR-V. I currently have a 2006 Civic and before that I had a 2003 Civic. I have always liked my Civic, but would like to get into something bigger such as the CR-V. What would you do? Note: due to pricing I would probably have to get the 2WD CR-V instead of the 4WD.

  • Employee Xmas Gift Ideas?

I have 15 employees I manage and try to give them something each year for Christmas. Last year I did lotions and candies (it is mostly women). Since this comes out of my own pockets I try to keep the price to about $10-15 per person. This year I was thinking gift cards to a local restaurant. Does anyone have any other ideas?

I am terrified of driving in snowy and icy conditions. Any good tips I could follow? I know to slow down, but what is a safe speed? I do a lot of highway driving since I have a long commute to/from work. Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

  • Realtor is retracting signed agreement for cash for keys - is this legal?

I signed an agreement with a realtor to give me $1500 to move out of the foreclosed condo I was renting on Nov. 14th. Just yesterday the realtor told me he cannot give me the money since he made an error and the redemption period is not up. No where in my contract does it say he can do this. I have made costly arrangements to move out early and expected that money. Is this legal? Could I take him to small claims?

  • Can realtors reneg on cash for keys after an agreemend has been signed?

I live in Michigan and was renting a condo. My landlord went into foreclosure and a sheriff sale was held on Oct. 2nd. About 3 weeks ago a realtor contacted me saying he represents the bank which bought the loan and would offer me $1500 to be out by Nov. 14th - which was 3 weeks earlier than I was planning. I said I would make it happen and we signed an legit agreement. Today I contacted the realtor to confirm he would be coming out this Friday to get the keys and give me the money. He emailed me and said the property has not gone through redemption yet and he can not give me the cash for keys. Is this legal? I have a signed agreement. What should I do?
