I am the Walrus
I am AMAZING.
Would guys be interested in me? (it helps if you ARE a guy haha)?
Am I, uh...attractive to guys?
About me:
I'm 15, I consider myself to be sort of decent looking but I really don't know, I am smart, I have a dry, yet pretty funny sense of humor, I'm fairly quiet until you get to know me, I'm introverted, honest, and I try to be nice to everyone. I love animals and I'm not all that girly..doesn't mean that I don't like to be girly when I want to, though! I'm also an aspiring artist/graphic designer.

Is there hope for me at all? xD I don't even know anyone my age who hasn't gone out on a date before. Other than me...
3 AnswersSingles & Dating1 decade agoI know this is annoying but I have to ask. Do you think I'm pretty?
I honestly don't even know what to think of myself. I'm 15, and sure as heck don't know if I'm pretty. My friends, parents, and others have told me that I am pretty, but I've learned not to trust the compliments of people that I'm close to.
2 AnswersSingles & Dating1 decade agoIf he's a big flirt around other girls, but he is really quiet around me, does he like me?
I went to my old school's football game, and my crush of one year was there. I know that he liked me last spring, and he texted me a few times during the summer.
Anywho, I went to the football game (normally our grade doesn't watch the game, we just wander around, and this wasn't an exception) and he saw me, looked sort of freaked out, and looked away from me on purpose.
All of the "popular" girls flirted with him and hung around him for most of the game. He pretty much ignored them, but he joked around a little bit and was the center of attention for a while.
A little while later, I was with my two friends, and I said to them "I hate them [the 'populars']." He spun around, and said, "Are you talking about me?!" I laughed and said, "No, the snobs," and he nodded. Then he offered me a Starburst and walked away.
Five minutes later, he walked by me and made a face and I made a face back. He smiled to himself and left.
He seemed really shy around me. Does that mean anything at all, and should I talk to him the next time I see him?
13 AnswersSingles & Dating1 decade agoI think I have social anxiety disorder?
I display these symptoms (taken from a website, and then my examples).
"Small mistakes you make may seem to you much more exaggerated than they really are."
Today I was talking to someone and I said one thing about my outfit being nice, and I'm still beating myself up about it. Another time, I called my friend by his nickname and I'm going insane because I'm so mad at myself, for no reason.
"Blushing itself may seem painfully embarrassing, and you feel as though all eyes are focused on you."
In school, I can say something minor, but embarrassing to me, and I'll feel like everybody's staring at me, and then I will blush, and then I will worry about that, too.
"You may be afraid of being with people other than those closest to you."
I really am. I get defensive about nothing, especially around guys. I have a fear of talking to guys unless I'm friends with them.
"Or your fear may be more specific, such as feeling anxious about giving a speech, talking to a boss or other authority figure, or dating."
I hate giving speeches, asking my teachers questions, and I'm scared to ask out my crush of over a year.
"The most common social phobia is a fear of public speaking."
Even when I have to introduce myself to my class at a new school, or I'm just giving a five-minute speech, I start trembeling, yawning (I yawn when I am nervous), and the room starts spinning.
"Although this disorder is often thought of as shyness, the two are not the same. Shy people can be very uneasy around others, but they don't experience the extreme anxiety in anticipating a social situation, and they don't necessarily avoid circumstances that make them feel self-conscious. In contrast, people with social phobia aren't necessarily shy at all. They can be completely at ease with people most of the time, but particular situations, such as walking down an aisle in public or making a speech, can give them intense anxiety."
When I started a new school, I cried for hours on end even though I knew it would be fine. I have a very irrational fear of being embarressed. At my old school, we would write prayer requests on the white board and call on people to hear their prayer requests. I was too scared to ever be the person to write the requests on the board, and I ended up being the only person not to do it. I also refused to play a study game in class that involved throwing a ball to people.
I'm very serious about this and an answer from a professional would be wonderful. Thank you and please tell me whether or not I should tell my parents about this. (I don't think they'll believe me)
4 AnswersMental Health1 decade agoAre there any websites with (clothed) models that I can use as painting references?
I'm looking for a website with stock (non-copyrighted) photos of clothed models that I can use for painting/drawing references.
1 AnswerPainting1 decade agoDo you think I'm good enought to start an art business?
I'm 14 and I'd like to start selling my art. Is it any good and do you think I'd be able to do commissions for people?
3 AnswersSmall Business1 decade agoHow can I convince my parents to let me have a pair of rats?
I've been wanting a pair of rats for a while now. I've done a ton of research and I've even written a small essay-type thing for my parents to look at, complete with pictures and information on why rats make great pets. I also know where I'd like to get the rats.
However, my mom has said she doesn't want any more pets. We're selling my miniature horse though (we don't have a place to keep him), and considering that the rats would be primarily my responsibility, I think they would be a good choice.
Any advice on being able to convince my parents (mainly my mom) to let me get the rats? I think that I have a good chance of being able to get them, considering all the time I've put into researching.
Thanks. ^^
10 AnswersRodents1 decade agoHow do I get rid of him?
There's this sort of strange guy at my school who apparently likes me. He's always making what others call his "mating call" to me (he calls it his constipated alpaca noise...wtf?) and doing all sorts of stuff to get my attention. He'll block me in the hall to do his "alpaca" sound in my face, and he won't let me get by him. One time he nearly fell over trying to do that.
One day I told him (jokingly) that I hated him, and he said, "I hate you too...well, not really. I'm neutral." Another day in study hall when I went to go get a science book, he licked my entire chair and then stuck his hand in his pants and wiped it all over the chair.
He won't do anything deliberetly to be mean; one time his friend told him to draw on my shirt with a sharpie, and his excuse was that he "didn't want to touch an alpaca."
How do I get rid of him, without being too mean? He's nice, and I don't want to hurt his feelings. :/
8 AnswersFriends1 decade agoA very odd dream...?
Last night I had a dream that my mom's friend gave me the phone number of a boy because I was "looking for a boyfriend". I texted him telling him that she had given me his number so that we could go out. We texted each other and emailed each other for two days. I could never think of his name, though. Then I started wondering whether or not he was cute, and I sent him about 40 pics of myself. Then he replied and was talking about graphic design...? He asked me to come over for a "date" at his house. Instead, I met him at a McDonald's with all of his friends. 2 people who were there were this guy from my school, and his little brother. When I met this guy that was going to be my "boyfriend", I thought that he was really cute, even though I didn't like his earrings. He was really short though. He got up to go get ketchup, and the friend from school started talking to me about how fun field day was and how I shouldn't have missed it.
After that I woke up.
O.O

5 AnswersOther - Music1 decade agoWhat kind of laptop should I get?
I do a lot of art and graphic design on photoshop. I also want a fairly nice looking laptop, but not too terribly expensive. I'm 14 years old and will also be using it for writing, using the internet, and doing stuff for school. What kind of laptop would be best for me? And are macs any good? Thanks.
3 AnswersLaptops & Notebooks1 decade agoI look down a lot when I walk. Advice?
That pretty much says it all. I look at the ground a lot when I walk, out of habit. Normally I don't even know I'm doing it. I've recieved comments about it at school, and it's really embaressing. My mom says that since I have fair skin and blue eyes, that I look down a lot outside because of the sun, and that it's developed into a habit.
I try looking up, but even then people ask me why I'm staring at the floor. In short, I need help. Is there any hope for me? =]
11 AnswersEtiquette1 decade agoI'm going to a public school next year. Advice?
I'm in seventh grade and I go to a fairly small private school. There are only about 50 people in my grade. In the past I've been homeschooled as well.
I was wondering if I could get any advice about going to a public school. I'm already nervous as a cat, but I'm very excited to be able to wear normal clothing and get away from the rich snobs at my school.
