Does Gregg shorthand make up Stenography used in courtrooms?
I am learning Gregg shorthand, and wonder if I can take up professional stenography by purchasing a stenograph typewriter, learn how to use it and head off to take the exam to be licensed. (I make it sound so easy!)
Can I use Gregg shorthand on a stenograph typewriter and use it for professional services (courtrooms) or do I need to learn another form of shorthand (ie. Ptiman, Teeline)?
Thank you!

3 AnswersOther - Home & Garden1 decade agoDoes the new ipod nano allow me to add any audio or video file that I want?
...Or is it restricted by digital rights management?
The reason I ask is that the main reason I want an ipod is so that I can download my dad's new radio shows and I don't want to spend a bunch of money on an apple if I won't even be able to do that.. I'll go with a different type (an MP4 or something..)
Any information on this topic would be helpful - Thank you!
3 AnswersMusic & Music Players1 decade agoIs there a way to get our dog's nails shorter without damaging his nail rooots or causing him pain?
Since the time my hubby and I got our little bud, he has had long nails - they seem a little too long to be healthy. We cut them often, but the root in the nails just seems to get longer, and thus, his nails get longer and stronger. It feels like we are fighting a losing battle - help!
I'm sure a vet would help, but is there any cheaper way we ourselves can help him? Thank you! (And Toby thanks you, too)
10 AnswersDogs1 decade agoCan a cat have flem? Or is this the beginning of a cat cold?
My hubby and I noticed this morning that our cat, who normally has a soft, quiet purr was purring loudly and in spasms - he almost sounded like an idling Harley Davidson. Later on in the day, he began coughing/choking - not the hairball choke, but a different kind. The weird thing is, it didn't sound quite like a cat cough, either. Help!

11 AnswersOther - Holidays1 decade agoAlarm Clocks - do you prefer music or the standard beeping? Why?
I myself prefer sledgehammers for all alarm clocks, but when I really have to wake up, music seems to do the trick more than the startling beeping noise where I just tend to shut that off as quickly as I can and go right back to sleep!
14 AnswersPolls & Surveys1 decade agoCALIFORNIA - Are you aware of Bob Barker's bill to Senate requiring all pet owners to spade/neuter their pets?
Yep - looks like our freedom - no wait - our animal's freedoms could be taken away by our government. Crazy... (sigh)
This bill will require that all pet owners of 4 months or younger spay/neuter their pet, unless a permit is obtained (purchased) to have one litter a year. This permit would have to be renewed annually. Ack! So angry there is smoke coming from my keyboard...
This won't help at all - it will only take away freedom, make life more expensive and make more 'outlaws'. Do they really think that pet owners are going to comply - do they know how many people don't get their animal spayed/neuter just because of the cost already? There will still be many, many homeless animals, even if this law passes. Sigh and grr!
20 AnswersOther - Pets1 decade agoWhat things can your bird say?
I unconsciously called my birds (three parakeets),"Gorgeous Little Birds" and now guess what they say? Yep! They jump on their cage to get as close as they can to me, lean forward, look me in the eye and say (very seriously), "Gorgeous Little Birds!" What is some of your 'bird talk'?

4 AnswersYahoo Answers1 decade agoRegarding CNA or Caregiving: How physically demanding is the job?
I am very petite and therefore (most unfortunately) not very strong. I am very interested in becoming a CNA or Caregiver but wonder if I can handle the job physically. I can lift a person with someone's help, but not by myself.
Also, I an artist and need extra time to draw. Does a CNA or Caregiving job have difficult work schedules/shifts? Thank you for any information!
