The apartment we had thought we were moving into, it turns out will cost $1500 to move into, and we have until 8 am to get out, and 3 small children. We don't really know anyone in our local Muslim community, or anyone who could help in general. What should we do?

If you didn't know the faith of a person and had struck up conversation with them, made friends, and then found out they believed in something that was completely the opposite of what you believed, would that affect the fact that you had previously liked the person?

Why? Why hold an entire religion of people (technically multiple religions I guess) accountable for the acts of some of their members? I'm not a terrorist. I don't hold anything against non-Muslims, their faith is between them and God (and that's what it says in the Quran too)

I realize that Muslims need to lead by example, and show that we aren't all crazy people, but I wish it didn't need to be so hard. Why should my faith make any difference to someone else?

I have been trying to find out online what it would take to be a licensed piercer in Washington. I have been licensed in another state, and would like to move back west.

This is just a general question, I had read some guidelines for women in the NOI and one of them was "wear white as soon as possible" but what would prevent them from wearing white at any time?

I remember when I was younger I found a hatbox in my mother's closet full of little lacy caps and veils. When I asked her what the deal was she said that women used to be required to wear the chapel veil to church, but now you didn't need to.

I have recently done some reading about the "official" stance of this, and according to what I've read veiling was removed from Canon law because it was preferred that women did it of their own free will, not because they had to.

I know that some women still wear the chapel veil, especially amongst Orthodox Christians.

I was just wondering if anyone here wears one?
