Garlic growing help---?
I started growing garlic in late October by taking the cloves off of an organic garlic plant and planting them in pots about 6 inches tall. I placed them in the kitchen window (so they're inside). They've grown a lot since then, but figuring it was about time to harvest them since it's been quite a few months, and the bottom of the plant has started to yellow and turn "crisp". I dug one up and to my disappointment there was no garlic bulb, just lots of roots :( Is it too early? Do I need a bigger pot?
Thanks!
3 AnswersGarden & Landscape8 years agoWhat books and plays out of this list should I read?
I can pick 9 novels or plays out of this list for a class. I'm a 16 yr old female and I enjoy the semi-typical teen literature (harry potter, hunger games, the perks of being a wallflower, etc.). Which out of these do you think I'd enjoy the most? Thanks!!! I researched them all but it is just really hard to figure out what I'd like even after reading reviews and ratings and plot summaries.

3 AnswersBooks & Authors8 years agoWhat is the leg cut on Eleve Dancewear leotards?
I'm really interested in getting a leotard from elevedancewear.com and I was wondering what the leg line is like? Is it a ballet cut leg line? Or is it low?
Thanks :)
1 AnswerDancing9 years agoHow much weight should I lose for ballet?
I'm 15, and 5'3'', around 101-102 pounds. I'd like to get a bit skinner for ballet, I just don't how much would be the ideal weight. I know it depends on muscle mass and proportions and a lot of other factors, but ideally, like how much should I lose? 5 lbs? 10? And don't worry, I'm not going to become obsessed or anorexic or totally forget about the most important which is training and technique, not weight.
I am training to become professional, so it's not just recreational or a serious hobby.
THANKS

I have the option of reading either one. I don't know which one to choose.
Opinions?
1 AnswerBooks & Authors9 years agoHip flexor really hurts....ice or heat?
So I'm a ballet dancer and I've been attending a very long, intense summer intensive for the last six weeks. My hip flexor is feeling suuuuper painful today. It hurts to lift my leg in any sort of way and it's really obnoxious. I do know stretches to do for the hipflexors, but should I use heat or ice on it?
2 AnswersPain & Pain Management9 years agoProm hairdos for really long hair?
My prom is in a few weeks, and I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to wear my hair.
It's really long--waist length--and it's pretty straight, with a few waves....
I was thinking tying back the front and curling the ends, but that's kinda simple....any thoughts?
Maybe some type of intricate braid?
4 AnswersHair9 years agoAre you supposed to dome your arches while standing at the barre?
I heard someone say that today, and I'm not sure if that's true or not. My teacher just always makes sure we aren't rolling our feet, that all the toes are on the floor...
Thoughts?
1 AnswerDancing9 years agoWhat do I wear under a dress that has a low, strappy back, but is too thin to wear without a bra?
Hi :)
I went to Forever21 today, and bought a dress that I absolutely fell in love with. It's navy blue (not that that matters), but it has a very low back, with thick, double criss cross straps. Wearing a bra would look terrible, but it's too thin without one. I have a very small chest, so I don't need the support, but it's just a bit too see through. I don't want those weird nipple smoothers, cause those are just weird and can fall off.
Any advice?
5 AnswersFashion & Accessories9 years agoWearing a colored leotard to an audition?
I have an audition tonight, and it says you should wear tights and a "solid colored leotard". Two of my friends are going too, and they are definitely wearing colored leotards. Last year I did an audition that said the same thing, and I was the only one wearing a colored leo. I felt awkward, so I ended up changing into my black one before the audition.....
I think I would wear a dark maroon leo which I look good in...I think it's more slimming than my black one....but also, the audition photos I give them (arabesque and headshot) I am wearing one of my black leos.
Thoughts?
5 AnswersDancing9 years agoIs this apple cider okay to drink?
My parents bought some apple cider a couple days ago, but it has kind of a bite to it. The brand usually tastes fine, but now its more of a fizzy taste...is it okay to drink?
6 AnswersOther - Food & Drink9 years agoI need a flattering black leotard for auditions?
HI! I'm auditioning for a lot of Summer Intensives this year, and a lot of them call for a black leotard.
I'm 5'2'', thin, but I have basically no chest. I don't want a cotton leotard (I already have some black cotton ones) so either spandex or nylon or that sort of material. Just not cotton xD
It'd be great if you could link me to some that you yourself have worn or that you know people who own them. THANKS
Dancing9 years agoHas anyone been to these Ballet summer intensives?
Hi!
I'm auditioning for ABT, Kirov, Joffrey, Houston and Harid conservatory ballet summer intensives this year.
Has anyone been to any of these?
I'd like to know all about them....class size, personal attention/corrections/food/housing/hrs. per day of dancing/etc.
THANKS
1 AnswerDancing9 years agoA good poem to read outloud to a class of teenagers?

I need to bring in a poem to read out loud and I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions.
I like pretty poems and funny and weird ones...any type, as long as it is readable (so no really hard words or thuses and thees and stuff ;) )
also, I don't want it too long.
THANKS

1 AnswerHalloween10 years agoWhat are the best stretches to do to get my extensions higher to the front and side?
I know so many people ask "how can I get more flexible" and people always just say "stretch". But I need people to be more specific. What stretches help the most? I have my splits, and I stretch everyday in class (with out legs on the barre, front, side and back) and I also do the stretch where you lie on your back and try to bring your leg to your chest. ( I also do a bunch of others, but these are the ones I do for extensions I guess)
So any suggestions?
Thanks so much :)

2 AnswersDancing10 years agoMy achilles hurts when I walk?
Hi! I'm a dancer and currently I'm dancing 6 hours a day, and have been for the past several weeks.
Yesterday I noticed that when I walk there is a slight pain in my achilles, but a bit above it too. When I massage that part of my leg, it doesn't hurt, but it's my calf that is sore......I'm icing it right now as I type, but do you think this is serious? Or will it go away soon as long as I keep icing it and don't do crazy stuff?
Two weeks ago, my calf muscle was getting sore a lot and getting cramps and stuff...could this be related?
Also, are there any exercises I can do to make it heal (if it is indeed injured) faster??? I have rehearsals starting next week for a upcoming show!
THANKS
3 AnswersDancing10 years agoGuitar--Fret question!?
Hey! I just started playing guitar on my own--I haven't found a teacher yet. But--I've played violin for almost 9 years, so the whole string instrument concept isn't new to me.
Well, I just got some music for my guitar, and I've been able to play quite a bit of it. I just have a simple question. When the little tab diagram (as in the one that looks like a little picture of the strings, like so http://people.bukiki.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/0... ) When it says like, 4 fr, that means you play at fourth fret right? Please excuse my ignorance, I'm just a little confused :)
Thanks!
