7 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoDid God blow up Mt. Vesuvius in the first century to warn us of the upcoming Apocalypse?
What about the "Little Ice Age" that caused the rise in rat and flea populations leading to the Black Death? A full third of the population of Europe died! Clearly these were signs of the end of days, right?
7 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoBritish Anglicans/Episcopalians. I'm kind of curious--here in the U.S. the Episcopal church has been?
open to homosexual relationships. I even knew a gay English priest. But the British church has been opposing homosexual relationships. I keep hearing that Europe is more tolerant of homosexuality and less fundamentalist than the U.S. What are your opinions on the subject?
1 AnswerReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoPagans/anyone interested in traditional religion: Any of you read "The Way of Wyrd"?
It's a book about a Christian Acolyte spending a summer with a Saxon shaman. I highly suggest it!
1 AnswerReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoPagans: If you pour libations to the gods, how do you do it inside?
I'm serious here... I know it sounds like a silly question, but it just occurred to me... how can you pour a libation that might ruin the carpet?
8 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoAtheists: How many children should you have?
After all, we want more educated people in the world, so we should have as many children as possible to counteract the uneducated masses, right?
16 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhy is it that asking drinking questions gets the most responses from people?
I ask dumb questions and get no responses. I ask thoughtful questions and get a few responses. I ask questions that get asked two or three times an hour here, just for kicks, and a zillion people answer. What's up with that?

11 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoAtheists: 1) Why are you on R&S? 2) How can you believe humans come from monkeys when monkies and humans are?
both still here? 3) Are there atheists in foxholes?
Okay, I'll stop there. You only need three drinks to get your buzz started... you don't want to get drunk too fast, do you?
;P
10 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoSerious Question for any Theist. Have any of you ever had a conversation with God?
I ask this because most of the Christians here talk about their close personal relationship with God, but I want to know if you hear his voice talking to you. I don't mean feelings of joy in your heart, or signs you've interpreted as a reply, but actually prayed and gotten him to talk back to you, and then had a conversation.
11 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoSo, EVERYONE, with the holidays coming, what is your favorite Pagan holiday?
If you celebrate your favorite Pagan holiday with a Christian bend, that's okay, you can answer too!
Mine's Halloween. I like Thanksgiving too, but that's just an American thing, not really Pagan, per se.
14 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoI have to give a speech at my friend's wedding. Trouble is, I hate the bride.?
I have a hard time lying with a straight face. Can I give a speech that reflects how I truly feel without being totally insulting?
