Is it really some vague idea that we can't quite grasp? Or is it immediate and how you actually are? If you are vain and glib, isn't that really your spiritual condition, no matter how much you pray or claim to be spiritual? Or how you think of yourself in relationship to your fellow humans? Or whether you care about anyone other than yourself? If you are a smart Alec, wouldn't that cancel out any 'prayers' that you performed and make them empty and meaningless?

Considering the state that humanity is in? Clearly we don't know how to think so why do we listen to our thoughts?

This is for people who want to edit the files their dvd camcorder takes.

What I use is a program called FLASKMpeg which you can download for free. If converts dvds into an .avi file. You don't need to copy your dvd files over, you need to put the dvd into the dvd drive. Then from within the program you find the drive, then the video_ts folder, then VTS_01_1.VOB. When you load that, the complete video will be loaded. Then you select an output file from options, advanced options. And from options, output options, select the codec that will compress your file. The best resolution will come from uncompressed, but you'll need plenty of disk space for that.

This is for all the people who ask this. If you have mini-dv or digital 8 camcorder, connect to your firewire card and use capture software such as Nero 6. If you have a dvd camcorder, place the dvd in your dvd drive, then open windows explorer and drag and drop to your pc. To edit you will need to convert to .avi or .mpg. If you have a hardisk camcorder, connect using usb cable and then use windows explorer to drag and drop to your computer. If any knowledgeable people want to add details to this all too common question "how do I convert my video to my pc?", please add tons of details and then when the next person asks the question we can tell them to put in "freewheeling franklin" into the "search for questions" box at the top of the webpage :-)

The Robin Williams character is an actor so out of it that he is litterally "out of focus" and can't be filmed. They eventually take him and his whole family to an optometrist and they get fitted with special glasses so that they can see him clearly until he "sharpens up". Is Woody trying to tell us something about ourselves here?
