I am looking for a new computer to play the elder scrolls online when it comes out. I can spend at most 1000$ but I would prefer to spend less. I don't care if it's a laptop or desktop, just whatever is cheaper.

I'm buying a LARP bow and I've seen a few around my price range (below $100) but It's sort of confusing, I see 'beginners bows' but they don't have the draw length thingy which is sort of useful, basically saying 'these are durable' blah blah, then I see a similar one for the same price with a draw length of 24 inches and I really don't know how good that'd be. Is there anyone here who can attest to a bow being good? Like have you bought/used a bow before? I just don't want to drop $80 on something that can only an arrow 15 feet.

I have recently seen a lot of people talk about how we were going towards communism and the entire capitalist society was collapsing and a lot of other doomsday theory's, all pointing to the idea that this is the end of days for the US and after a couple hundred years our country will finally hit the gutter. I was thinking this was all just talk and the exact same thing we all said 100 years ago, but now I'm less sure. I tend to view life as better than ever, but what do you think? Is life just a ball of **** that's about to hit fan or are people just over reacting like they've always been?

I'm just curious, I would love Hillary to be elected, so I'm just wondering what everyone else thinks and why.

I'm 18 so I don't know much about politics. But often I'll hear someone say 'I like Obama' and then someone after will get mad at him and say something about him ruining our country and only a total idiot would support him, and I don't really understand why. It's not just Obama of course, it's just he is in office at the moment so I hear him the most and I don't quite get how someone can be so opposed to the dude while so many others are totally for him. I sort of think our country is doing quite well at the moment so I don't understand why people are so mad. It's like, I know there are ultra conservatives who want a totally christian nation(and who know they're right about everything), but most other people realize that they're are multiple points of view on a subject, so I don't get how someone can be so against someone while someone is so for that same person. Can someone explain this to me? Logically?

I used to take cooking class so I know how to do this cooking method but I cannot figure out what the name of it is and I'm going to a girls house to do it so it's sort of important I'm able to tell her how I'm cooking her food. You put like a chicken breast in a pan then you poor a tiny bit of oil, like a half inch and boil the oil? then flip the chicken breast to cook both sides? Does anyone know the name of this?

I'm just tired of so many sexual connotations attached to everything, so for 2 months I'll stop everything sexual in my life. From dating to relationships to lust in general. Is this a good idea? Any opinions would be appreciated.

Me and some friends love to volunteer, but it's sort of hard to find places to do it. We've cleaned out a lake by our college, and we've been to the food bank(though that one wasn't the best volunteering cause I think we just got in the way more than anything else) and we're thinking about adopting a highway but we can't think of any more. Like we know shelters and things need volunteers but when we've looked into those they're always sort of a 'commitment' thing where you've got to like take on a whole other job to volunteer. So does anyone have any places we can volunteer at(or for(nature park I don't know))? As many charities as you can think of would be nice

I'm writing a paper and I need to source a scholarly journal and I thought I found one but my professor said I didn't so I'm not sure how to tell if it's scholarly or not. In particular I need one about teacher pay for performance or no child left behind, but any website that with scholarly journals would help!

Hello, I am a bit deprezzled at the moment and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas how to get out? Maybe something you usually do when deprezzled? I usually just talk to my friends but they're all busy with school at the moment sooo... yeah.

I'm in need of a muse at the moment. I've been listening to the song 'travelin soldier'(covered by The Dixie chicks) and I love how it tells a story you know? It goes from point A to point B and the message is so sweet! Sad, but sweet. Does anyone else have a song like this? Anything that tells a story would be appreciated.

I just got this email from a political campaign of some sort, and it said we have to raise 24k in 24 hours or we won't meet the FEC fundraising goal. Than the people in florida will get wind of it and it will boost their momentum, essentially killing any chance of us controlling the white house/senate next year.

Usually I think these emails are just people over dramatizing the situation, but I'm curious. They've raised like a million dollars in a week so does this last 24k really matter? Is the FEC deadline that serious or just more political pandering for money?

First, this is not a joke, often when I'm outside I pick my nose than throw the booger on the ground. When I do I'm curious, is it biodegradable? Or is it like some sort of nonbiodegradable sludge that will stay until the rain washes it away?

I bought my first lottery ticket like a week ago, and when I brought it home my parents were sort of like 'why'd you do that?' and after I explained they only said 'okay, but you know you won't win anything right?' And I was sort of confused, it was the education lottery, so taking out what it takes to hold a lottery, doesn't all of the profits go to education? So even if I spend 10$ and earn 2$ back, isn't it still good cause it's sort of like donating? Except you also might get some money back(except no tax break but I'm 18 and don't pay taxes anyways so that point really doesn't matter)? Or am I missing something here?

Everything I look up talks about jesus or something or another from this time period(100-1BC) Jerusalem or they talk about modern honor and shame which are totally different from back then. Can someone help me find a site for this kind of thing?

Okay, me and a friend are playing a board game, and it's a good bit random since we only know about a third of the questions. So often it comes down to a tiebreaker question, and we are curious. Would it be better if we asked one tie breaker question? or asked 2 out of 3 for a tiebreaker? I figure it'll make it less random if we choose 2 out of 3 but my friend thinks that it will be just as random if it's one card. Can someone help us here? And explain or cite if you can.
