I have a pretty good sense of humor, even when the joke's on me. I love kids, cats, camping, and all my friends. I hate mean people who only give answers that attempt to make other people feel badly.
I have a painful swelling on the bottom of my left foot. I am seeing the Dr in the morning, but can anyone?
tell me what this might be, so I have an idea what to say to the Dr? My ankle and knee also ache, but that may just be because I'm limping from the pain. It's worse when I get up and walk around after sitting for awhile. No marks on the foot, just swelled up a little and very painful.
2 AnswersPain & Pain Management1 decade agoI need help finding a song, please?
It was in an old movie. The beginning is, "Sisters. Sisters. There were never such devoted sisters." The end is "God help the mister, who comes between me and my sister, and God help the sister, who comes between me and my man!" Please tell me the name of this song, who sang it, and what movie it was in.
2 AnswersOther - Music1 decade agoMy boss just called me to come to work on my day off!!!!?
I work overtime, work 2 different areas on the same shift, help others catch up their work, put up with last-minute schedule changes, work every shift but graveyard, every week. Should I feel guilty for saying I wouldn't come in today?
I'm kinda disgusted anyway, because I have worked there 3 years and have never had a steady shift the whole time. They hired a new person a month ago, and she already has a steady shift. So why should I put myself out all the time? I got a great review last week due to my hard work, but do they have the right to just assume that my life consist of nothing but work?
21 AnswersPolls & Surveys1 decade agoLaptop/notebook computer owners: Why should I get one instead of a desktop?
I saw one online that I'm interested in, but have questions. Do they come with an ac adapter? Can I hook up my printer to it easily? Can I use my current cordless optical mouse with it? How long does a 6 cell, 8 cell, and 12 cell batter last? Any help is appreciated before I make my final decision.
8 AnswersLaptops & Notebooks1 decade agoVery serious question concerning an auto accident where someone stopped on the onramp to the highway?
The vehicle ahead of me came to a dead stop on the onramp to the highway. There was no way for me to go around him, and I hit the rear end. I got a ticket for "failure to use due care." I had no choice but to hit either the vehicle that stopped, a cement barrier, or drive out onto the freeway. I was not going very fast, maybe 45 mph. Am I really the one at fault if someone stops on the onramp? I'm going to fight it no matter what, but do I have the ghost of a chance to beat this ticket? My car is totalled!
11 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade agoI am going to buy a new computer. Can I save the memory and hard drives from my Gateway and my HP Pavilion?
and use the memory in the new computer, and make the hard drives into externals? I was thinking of keeping the fans too, in case the one in the new computer ever goes out. I could use some advice, because if it isn't worth keeping them, I'll just donate the old computers to someone.

24 AnswersPolls & Surveys1 decade agoA 73 yr old employee is becoming senile and useless. How can we convince the boss he needs to retire the guy?
This guy loses money and paperwork, puts them in wrong places or even in the trash. He once told me he likes to take "as long as possible" to do the job--and takes twice as long as anyone else to do anything. He wrote a note to the Employee Dining Room Mgr complaining that there was no "F-ing bread"! He couldn't get the tills out/tills in to match, and went to the restaurant and accused the cashiers of hiding one of the tills and yelled at them that they were liars--in front of customers! Everyone in our dept has to give him directions all day long. We are disgusted that he is getting paid to do almost nothing. I am the unofficial spokesperson for the rest of my co-workers, and I have explained to the boss many times how much we want him gone, but he's still there. He doesn't need the money, he owns apt buildings and probably gets Social Security and/or military retirement, so why do the rest of us have to do most of the work while he skates along and gets paid for it?
6 AnswersOther - Careers & Employment1 decade agoHow do I get out of Safe Mode?
My computer was unplugged for several months. Now that I have it hooked up again, it will only boot into Safe Mode. I did the spyware/virus check and they found nothing. I tried rebooting and holding down the control button on startup but the screen that is supposed to come up with the boot choices never showed.
