  • Glowing painted stars, without the glow-in-the-dark paint?

Looking to make it look like the stars "Glow" on my canvas, but not using the glow-in-the-dark paint.

  • Looking for advice from someone that has been through a similar situation..?

Yesterday, contractors came in to re-do the bathroom cabinets to make the ADA compatible.. The property owner had all 1st floor apartments renovated.

Instead, there are paint chips throughout the whole apartment, the sink is stained with paint, there were paint chips down the disposal, my son's favorite cup is destroyed, a spoon that happened to be in the sink is also destroyed, along with my son's medicine measuring cup. I found nails on the floor from a nail gun, and there is a smear of paint in the master bedroom carpet. My mother stepped on some wet paint and ruined a pair of socks.

They came back and "cleaned up".. Which doesn't look any better than the slop they left..

I just washed my vacuum which means the filters are still wet, and need at least another day or two to dry..

We need a vacuum and a broom + dust pan, and some sort of paint cleaners for the sink + supplies to clean it with, and I need to re-wash my towels, rugs and things that I had put in my bathtub - with curtain closed - during the renovations.

I'm thinking this is going to be at least a 4-hour process. I'm looking for advice on what to do.

The Apartment Manager was the one that walked through with the Maintenance Manager and said that our apartment was cleaned of paint.

I don't even know where to start, but my son comes home tomorrow and this place is NOT toddler friendly right now. My son is 3 years old, and I do not want to run the possibility of him picking up paint chips.

  • Is it possible to attend too many colleges?

I'm currently in a Community College and attended a Technical Institute 10 years ago. I plan on enrolling in a 'duel' course with a State University, but there's also another University that has a few courses that I'd love to take in another year or so.

That would make 4 colleges on my transcript/resume, and I've no doubt I could keep my GPA 3.6+ with all colleges included.

  • Looking for an 8 inch tablet?

  • What can I invest in, with $500, and be able to take the money back out in 2 years?

It isn't much money, but $500 is my max. Looking to hopefully have at least $500 when I take it back out/cash out, other than just stuffing it into a safe box somewhere.

I'm from Michigan, if that matters.

  • Montessori vs Kinder Care vs Day Care vs Head Start?

So my son will be 2 1/2 soon and his current day care does not host through summer.. Looking for somewhere for him to go 3 days a week while I'm at school.

(And don't tell me Grandmas house, please.. lol)

What are your experience with Montessori, Kinder Care, Day cares, etc?

We visited a Montessori for his age group but the room was super tiny and there were no actual toys other than outside.. They were all skill-building groups such as "Fill the water pitcher" "Wash the baby" "puzzles" etc.. Which are all good, but what about just regular play time? :( They do help to encourage potty training by putting them on the potty chair for diaper changes.

We also visited a Kinder Care that was VERY cool.. It was during nap time so things were put away and we were very quiet while the children slept. She did mention that they only do 1 'circle time' a day which involves a group book reading. They also do potty chair for diaper changes. The teacher said they do science experience and math studies.

The Head Start doesn't start until he's 3, so we don't really know what they are yet.

His current day care is awesome. They do an hourly activity and then before/after the kids get to play with the toys. Everyone has to help clean up. They do activities like painting, watching the butterflies grow, stamping, felt cars/animals and mimicking sounds.

His current teachers say he is very smart for his age.

  • Are chrysanthemums toxic?

Debating planting some in pots to help discourage bees, but want to ensure they are safe for my toddler and the local birds.

I don't see any articles that say they are toxic, but thought to post in case someone knows different.

    Thank you.

  • Where to buy extra-large floppy sun hats?

Looking for a 25" head circumference for my Aunt. Ordering online is fine, just needs to be really large. Been looking around online but not seeing anything.

She prefers straw or straw-looking, and definitely not girly (bows, etc).

  • Looking for event information: Adult party, that requires Stilettos , outside..?

My dad bought my mom and I outfits to attend some 'game' that he won't tell us about..

    Pirate-like shirt

    High-low skirt

    Black Stilettos

We're in Michigan and it's still cold outside, and we just need to give him a 24 hour notice. So it's some sort of on-going game/party thing? Any ideas?? He won't crack, lol.

    We are not provocative/pirate-like people.

  • What can be done about geese poop in apartment complex?

The complex is about 5 years. Before that it was a golf course for 10-some years.

Geese isn't a new situation, the complex knew it when they bought it with a great big pond.

We've lived here for about a year and was promised that they were going to take care of it.

Well, Spring is nearly here and we have geese!

YES I know geese go to water. But aren't they required to at least clean the sidewalks? Last year we couldn't walk outside our apartment without stepping on geese poop, couldn't even dream of walking down towards the pond or in the grass.

I have a 2 year old son and only moved here because the lady promised that they take care of the issue, daily.

We've quickly learned that they only take care of it after several complaints, and then they only sweep it into the grass.

.. If a person has a dog, they have to clean up after it. The complex has geese, isn't it common sense they have to clean up after them?

    Keyboard compatible

Microsoft Word or comparable compatible (even if I need to buy it).

8 or 9 inch, not looking for 10.

Willing to go up to $300, but looking around $250.

I have a Nextbook now but the sound is very low even when turned way up. Would love something you can actually hear, lol.
