Jim weighs 220 pounds and wishes to lose 25 pounds by running or jogging at 5 mph for 30 minutes exercise session 5 days per week. Do the Calculations to solve Jim’s problem by following these steps:
1. Multiply body weight by the appropriate calories burned per minute per lb. from Table 8-3 for running or jogging 5 mph.
220 lb. x .064 coefficient = 14.08 calories/min.
14.08 calories/min. x 30 min. 422.40 = calories
2. Multiply the number of calories expended per workout by the number of workouts per week: 422.40 calories x 5 workouts/week = 2112
2112 calories/week / 3,500 calories/lb. = .60 lbs. lost/week
3. Divide the total pounds to be lost by the number of pounds lost per week. 25 lbs. / lbs. lost /week = weeks

2 AnswersLaw & Ethics9 years agoWhat agreements are inforceable?
The materials will help you understand that some agreements are enforceable and some are not. The ones that are enforceable are called contracts. One of the key additional ingredients which change an agreement into a contract is this thing we call "consideration." What is that? Does each party need to give it to the other? What about an agreement where one side agrees to give consideration to the other and the other does not give back consideration?
Give an example of this type situation. Is it enforceable? I understand all of the first part of the questions and have the answer but what would be a type of situation...
