Atheists, what do you think of this song?
5 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoTo Muslims, is it true that you get your own world when you die?
And do you love those who aren't Muslims?
4 AnswersReligion & Spirituality10 years agoIs the world as it should be?
If yes, then ok.
But if no, why not?
6 AnswersReligion & Spirituality10 years agoHypothetically, if God exists, couldn't the Earth be both 4.6 billion years old and 6,000 years old?
Now if said hypothetical God exists and is omnipotent and omniscient, couldn't he have created the Earth 6,000 years ago with all of the attributes of being billions of years old? Hypothetically he does have the power and the knowledge to do this, right?
20 AnswersReligion & Spirituality10 years agoThere are about 7 million Jehovah's Witnesses, but they believe only 144,000 will go to heaven...?
...does this make sense? I mean what is the point of even becoming a JW if there is an overwhelming chance that you won't go to heaven?
12 AnswersReligion & Spirituality10 years agoHow do you like Southern Anglo Saxon theology during and before the Civil Rights movement?
I am sure there are still some who believe this. It is amazing how hate can distort doctrine.

If so, then who was he and what proves that he was sent by God?
If not, then doesn't this tell you something? 2000 years without guidance from God?
9 AnswersReligion & Spirituality10 years agoCounter to Epicurus' quote.?
“Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able?
Then he is not omnipotent.
Is he able, but not willing?
Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able and willing?
Then whence cometh evil?
Is he neither able nor willing?
Then why call him God?”
-Epicurus
God is both willing and able to prevent evil but he is not malevolent. He created in us the potential to do evil otherwise true love could not exist in this world. Think of it this way- if we were not conscious of the opposite of love then if we "loved" it wouldn't really be love and God is also love so we could never know him in his true light. That is why he doesn't prevent evil at this time, but he will in the future. He also gives us an option to escape the eternal destination of evil and the destruction evil causes through his son.
9 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoAccording to these Bible verses, could ghosts exist?
Job 4:15-17 (New International Version, ©2011)
15 A spirit glided past my face,
and the hair on my body stood on end.
16 It stopped,
but I could not tell what it was.
A form stood before my eyes,
and I heard a hushed voice:
17 ‘Can a mortal be more righteous than God?
Can even a strong man be more pure than his Maker?
Matthew 14:25-27 (New International Version, ©2011)
25 Shortly before dawn Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake. 26 When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. “It’s a ghost,” they said, and cried out in fear.
27 But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”
Luke 24:37-43 (New International Version, ©2011)
37 They were startled and frightened, thinking they saw a ghost. 38 He said to them, “Why are you troubled, and why do doubts rise in your minds? 39 Look at my hands and my feet. It is I myself! Touch me and see; a ghost does not have flesh and bones, as you see I have.”
40 When he had said this, he showed them his hands and feet. 41 And while they still did not believe it because of joy and amazement, he asked them, “Do you have anything here to eat?” 42 They gave him a piece of broiled fish, 43 and he took it and ate it in their presence.
Notice how Jesus doesn't say "Don't be silly, you know that ghosts don't exist". He just reassures them by telling them that it is him.
11 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhat do you think of this quote?
"I stand in awe of God because of what he has done through his creation. Only a rookie who knows nothing about science would say science takes away from faith. If you really study science, it would bring you closer to God."

16 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhere do we get our moral values from?
Could it be from society? But if the Nazis had taken over the world and made the killing of Jews legal, and even honorable, does this make it right?
Could it be from our parents? Then how do orphans know the difference between right and wrong?
Could it be from intuition/instinct? But wouldn't survival of the fittest cause us to lie and cheat and kill in order to gain the advantage?
Then the only logical explanation I have come up with is that we get our morals from God- what else can explain it?
