My new neighbors are a young, married couple with a baby on the way (three months in). Unfortunately, both of them smoke like chimneys. Will the newborn have birth defects? What are the potential dangers? Is there anything I could do that would influence my neighbor to stop smoking?

Hello all, I've failed AP US history this semester and since it's a graduation requirement I'll have to take it again. And since I don't really have plans for this summer, I have two options:

1. I could take it during the summer: lasts three weeks (fridays off), costs $205 + book, and is from 7:45 am to 1:00 pm. The problem is that I hate to wake up early, especially over the summer and I will have to walk home in over-90degree weather.

2. I could take it next school year (I'll be a senior): I'll only have to pay for the book, lasts one semester for 45 minutes each day. If I take it during the school year, then it would be an academic overload, which will deprive me of my full lunch period (45mins).

What should I do? Thanks in advance :)

I am so unprepared to go to school. I just had spring break and before that I was sick and did not go to school for more than a week. Unfortunately, I felt even worse this week and did not do any of my school work. Now I am staying up trying to get a bunch of assignments done and I am debating on whether to go or not.

Are there any Illinois online public high schools besides the Illinois Virtual School?

Also, are state virtual schools free? Some say the local school district can pay, but I've been told that IVS charges the parents.

There is this guy that I see every morning when I go to my locker at school. He stands a few feet away and stares at me with no emotion on his face whatsoever. I overheard his friends talking about me at lunch saying,"so, this is the girl that (he) likes?". What's weird about him is that whenever I'm trying to make eye contact with him, he either looks down or turns his head the other way in a weird manner. Yesterday, I caught him staring at my boobs. Why doesn't he want to make eye-contact with me, yet he can stare at me for minutes from far away? I don't know anything about guys, so I need your help. Please and thank you :)

There's a guy in my gym class that is 16, Filipino and has jet black hair... with visible single gray hairs all over his head. It shocked me to see a person going gray at such a young age.
