Will my female kitten grow to be big?
I have a female kitten, well I don't know if she can really be called a "kitten" since she's turning 1 year old this month. But I've noticed she's really long already!
I have another cat, a male that is 6 years old. He measures around 16" long, not including his tail. My little female cat already is about 15" long, and if I included her tail she would be much bigger since she has a really long tail.
Is this a sign that she's gonna grow to be pretty big?
3 AnswersCats1 decade agoIs it possible i suffer from Essential Tremors?
Ever since I was a kid, I've noticed that my hands slightly shake when moving (like when reaching to grab something, for example) and sometimes when i just hold them out in front of me, I can see them shaking slightly. They never shake when they're resting though.
It's not too noticeable since I've only had a couple of people mention it to me...it's kind of embarassing though when someone asks, "Why do your hands keep shaking?" I know it's not because of nervousness or anxiety!
I just wanted to know if this could possibly be essential tremors or something else? It's definitely not something that just started happening to me. I'm 20 years old and I can remember a friend noticing it back when I was in middle school.
Also, what kind of doctor should I go to to ask about this?
3 AnswersOther - Diseases1 decade agoWhy do I have trouble falling asleep without the TV on?
Ever since I can remember (since elementary school) I always fall asleep with my TV on. I'm 18 now and still need the TV on to sleep. I've tried sleeping with it off but I start thinking a lot and the silence gets to me so much that I start panicking. When I fall asleep with the TV it makes me relax because I focus on what the people are saying and I play the scenes out in my mind, which eventually lulls me to sleep.
I think part of the problem is that I also have a fear of the dark. So without the TV on, that means silence + darkness = a very restless me.
It's funny because I rarely watch TV during the day, yet I can't fall asleep without it. And all of my friends find it weird that I need to fall asleep with the TV on. Most of them need total darkness and silence when they fall asleep, which in turn sucks for me when I would sleep over!
Is this normal and do many other people sleep with the TV on? Is this because I've conditioned myself to fall asleep with it on?
12 AnswersPsychology1 decade agoWhat hairstyle would look better? (pics)?
I'm dyyyying to do something different to my hair. I've had side bangs for the past two years and I want to get some straight bangs.
I need help though because I don't know whether I should get choppy bangs or blunt bangs. Which one would look better for my face shape?
Here's pics of how my hair is now and my face shap (I think it's oval...):

15 AnswersHair1 decade agoRight foot stiff and a bit swollen?
Ever since Tuesday my right foot has felt a little stiff around the middle and around my ankle when I stand or walk. It also looks a little bit swollen around the middle, but it's not that bad. And my foot doesn't hurt when I walk it just feels stiff.
On the same leg I tore my meniscus in my knee a last November. Is it possible that my foot is like this because of my knee? And also, what can I do to help it to get better? I don't want to go see a doctor unless it doesn't get better in a week or two.
1 AnswerInjuries1 decade agoUnknown internet/network connections?
I have a feeling that someone or some people have gotten access to my wireless connection or somehow hacked my computer or something. Ever since today in the morning my internet explorer has been acting funky and freezing on me. When I go and view my wireless network connections there should only be one, but there are FIVE. And sometimes they disappear and pop up again. One of them is named "mart" and another "JosieJ." And I cannot connect to them either!
I've tried to delete them but they don't show up when I go to "Manage Wireless Networks" on the control panel. How can I get rid of them and prevent it from happening again?
(If it helps to know I have Windows Vista)
2 AnswersComputer Networking1 decade agoBang bang bang rock song???
When I was shopping at Express this song started playing and I absolutely loved it! I don't remember barely any of the words though so I couldn't search for it.
The chorus repeated "bang bang" a lot. And the song was alternative rock. Any ideas on which song it is and who's the band???
(It's not the Nancy Sinatra one that's for sure!)
21 AnswersRock and Pop1 decade agoTorn meniscus?
I messed my right knee up almost four weeks ago at dance. I did an MRI and my orthopedist told me I have a partial meniscal tear. He said that I don't need surgery and that I need physical therapy for four weeks. The thing is he said that I can't dance at the same level I've been dancing at.
It broke my heart because even though I'm not a professional dancer I've been trying to advance and get better at it. The thing though is that my moms friend has a daughter who has a torn meniscus and a dislocated knee, but her orthopedist told her she can play all the sports she used to. And my dad used to play soccer & he said that there were many players who would tear their meniscus and go back to playing soccer at the same intensity as before. And I've read that a torn meniscus hurts A LOT and mine doesn't hurt much. It's just uncomfortable.
So should I get another opinion from another doctor? And for anyone who has had a torn meniscus, have you been able to go back to playing sports?
5 AnswersInjuries1 decade agoNaproxen for inflammation?
My knee has been swollen since last week on Wednesday (I had dance the previous day so I probably hurt it when doing floor work). The swelling is not extremely bad, but it's noticable. And the pain isn't severe either. My knee doesn't really hurt per se, but it does feel weird when I walk and my calf feels sore after walking too much. It's also uncomfortable to bend it for a long time when I'm sitting and when I put any weight on it.
I went to the doctor and he perscribed me naproxen. Isn't it mostly for if you're suffering from severe pain??? And I've also heard of the stomach bleeding, but is thar very rare?
I really want the swelling to go down and it hasn't gotten better since last week, so I'm wondering if taking naproxen will really help the swelling go away faster without having any bad side effects.
2 AnswersInjuries1 decade agoFor my college courses do I have to buy the EXACT edition of books?
I'm going to FAU and online you can find out what books you need for your classes and you can buy them from the campus bookstore. I am buying them from Amazon.com (WAY cheaper).
The thing is though, that on the list of books it says by what publisher and edition the book is. I know that for textbooks it needs to be the exact edition, but what about literature books?
For example, one book I need for my Lit class is "In the Time of the Butterflies." It says on the book list that it is "Edition:94
Publisher:PENG USA." I cannot find the exact edition and publisher for this online. So does it matter for these kind of books if I do not buy the exact one???
9 AnswersHigher Education (University +)1 decade agoHow do I know when my Sim feels better?
Both of my sims are sick from the flu. They're rarely ever tired so they don't sleep much. But I'm making sure they both relax in bed and nap on couches, only getting up to eat or use the bathroom. When do I know that they are feeling better? Does a message pop up or something?
2 AnswersVideo & Online Games1 decade agoIs my mosquito bite really bad and should I see a doctor?
I got a mosquito bite on my calf three days ago (last Saturday). They looked normal. The next morning it had grown to about 2 inches and it was flat and a light pink color. It also felt like my calf was hurting like when you have a sore muscle.
After I went to work out (not a good idea) you could then see a red bump where I was bitten. Not only that but my leg hurt even more where the bite was. It was also extremely itchy
Yesterday the red bump grew to about one inch but it was flat now instead of bumpy. There were also what looks like red marks/veins on it. The light pink area was still around it but smaller in size.
Today the pink area is gone and the red part remains the same size as yesterday. The itching has gone down. Does it sound like its infected?
I don't know if it's just a coincidence but I had a headache yesterday and still today. Today it seems like it's concentrated on the left side of of my forehead and under my left eye. Is it due to the the bit or not?
