Rapid heart rate a side affect of Claritin D?
I've taken it twice in a row for allergies and notice I could feel my heart beating incredibly fast yesterday but just kind of dismissed, took it again today and been paying more attention to my bpm which has sky rocketed to about 80-100 bpm accompanied by chest pain and my normal resting bpm is between 60 and 70. Blood pressure was about 110/76 is Claritin d really causing this? And why?
1 AnswerHeart Diseases7 years agoSick at meps?
If I go to meps for ship out day with a sore throat and a tonsil stone that I've had for months, will I be dq'd? I'm not sick but my seasonal allergies are kicking up. If I explain this to them will they care?
1 AnswerMilitary7 years agoQuestion about MEPS?
I have a sore throat not associated to a cold, but due to allergies and nasal drip. Unsure what's caused it. I've taken Claritin D and been gargling to reduce the redness and swelling. I've also got a tonsil stone. Question is I go to meps for the day I ship out June 3rd? Would they not let me ship for this? Or is this not a concern?

7 AnswersMilitary7 years agoGoing to MEPS on menstral cycle?
I'm going to MEPS Thursday. I'm processing for the Air Force, and I just got my period. My recruiter says it won't affect my physical, but I was looking at some other similar questions and answers where people have said to wear a tampon, what if I can't? They're really painful and uncomfortable for me, plus they make me feel sick. Can they still do what they need to do without me having to use a tampon? Thanks in advance.

My boyfriend had a double inguinal hernia repair surgery yesterday. He was tired after but sounded normal after a few hours. Now he's sleeping nonstop. Is this normal? How long does it usually last? Thanks in advance.

I just took the ASVAB and scored a 50 which is high enough to get in. I was curious what these other scores meant and what they qualify me for, thanks in advance!

5 AnswersMilitary8 years agoCan't contact any air force recruiters?
I've been trying to get in tough with them the last few months. I had met with a recruiter back in July but decided I wasn't ready at the time. Now that I'm ready to move forward I can't seem to get in contact with anyone. I also can't find office hours for them online. It's a bit of a drive for me to get to them and my schedule is crazy sometimes. Any advice for how to get in touch with them? Or should I look into other branches? Although AF is my top pick, I'd be open to looking at other branches. I'd just be disappointed because AF seems like it would be the best fit for me and I see myself as an Airman.
2 AnswersMilitary8 years agoHow to cope with the death of a close friend?
I'm having a difficult time dealing with the sudden and unexpected loss of my 21 year old friend. She was a great person, and her death has caused me great sadness and anger. Going to say goodbye was hard. I've said goodbye to many loved ones in the past decade and its caused me to have this absurd fear of death. How do I deal with her being gone? How can I accept it and understand it? Thanks in advance.
1 AnswerFriends8 years agoWould joining the military be a good decision?
I have been thinking about joining the air force many months now. The reasons are because I can't find a job for what I went to school for (Medical Assisting). I have had a few interviews, but they wont hire me because I don't have any job experience outside my internship. I hear having some military background on your resume would up your chances of being selected for a job. What I'd like to get out of it is travel, benefits that no civilian jobs will offer, free education, and a steady job/paycheck. But does that mean I'd be joining for the wrong reason? Some say you should only join if you wish to serve your country, and others say to do it for the learning experience and benefits. After a lot of research I decided to meet with a recruiter, who was nice and answered all my questions. Everything sounds like a good deal (getting my current student loan paid off, full benefits (active duty), money for college, and getting in as an E-2 because of college credits I already have from a years worth of college I did), I took the practice asvab and I have to score a little higher to be able to choose from the medical jobs I would like. I now however, a few days later, am starting to have doubts that it would be the right decision. And at the same time, I just don't know what else to do at this point. I could keep working at McDonald's, and go back to college, but I would risk furthering myself in debt and have no job to show for it either being able to obtain financial aid is becoming harder as time goes by. I understand this is a tough economy, and it's especially hard for younger people such as myself to get their feet on the ground. I'm just not sure what to do I'm pretty much lost. So I was wondering if I could hear from those who are in the service (Air Force preferably) that could tell me if it was worth it to them, how it's treated them, what they've gotten out of it, and just would like to get any advice about it. I am 20 by the way.
Thanks in advance for any answers. I just want to make an informed decision, as I understand it's a big commitment and takes a lot of dedication to do what our service men and women do.
2 AnswersMilitary8 years agoShould I join the Air Force?
I'm 20 years old, graduated high school, did a year in college, then went to a medical assisting school and graduated. I haven't been able to find a job for medical assisting since then (February 2013). Now I'm working at McDonald's serving clogged arteries and thunder thighs with less than 20 hours weekly. Sometimes it gets as low as 6 hours which is not good because I have student loans to pay. I feel at this point my life is lacking satisfaction, money, and direction. I'd love to leave the tiny town I live in and go elsewhere, but I don't really have the means to do so. I'd also like to make some new friends, ones with higher values than the ones I have preferably as they keep popping out babies for a living. I want to do something I can be proud of and I'm wondering if the US Air Force is the way to go I've been going back forth with this in my head for months now. I know there's a chance of deployment, but I hear this branch is less likely for it and personally I'd like to try and stay in the US if possible. Some people say if you join the military you're likely going to die, that theres nothing more youd be doing accept fighting over in Iraq or Afghanistan. I'd be honored though; to serve my country. So any one that is in the Air Force, or has family in it, has it been worth it? Is it a good thing to get into?
5 AnswersMilitary8 years agoWhich brand is the best brand for buying a new TV?
I want to buy a 46' LCD/LED TV, my price range is up to 800$ I've looked in walmart a few times and found some I like, however, I've been told to stay away from brands like Samsung, and Viore because they stop working right after the warranty expires. Any tips or any ideas what is a good brand that will last me a long time? Thanks for your answers.

1 AnswerMathematics1 decade agoWhat should I do with my boyfriends lazy behavior?
I'm a full time college student now going for my bachelors, it's my first year and i'm also working working more than 20 hours a week to pay for my car insurance, and cell phone bill plus putting some in my savings account.
However, my boyfriend is out of highschool now and also works at burger king, but refuses to take hours when they are offered to him and always complains. he has no money saved in his bank and all he does is lay around and be negative and then wonders why he gets hardly any money in his pay checks. He doesnt pay his own bills and still lives with his mom. Im growing increasingly frustrated with his behavior and upset he constantly lies to me when he says hes going to take charge of his life...i've talked to him countless time but there is never anything different.
