I'm still very young, only in 10th grade, but I'm curious. Ok... I don't go to dances b/c I don't ask girls out b/c I'm fairly shy (I don't think I'm ugly so that is not a reason), I think grinding at dances is dumb but somehow I think I'm in the minority, I get to know people which leads to friends and not gfs. On the positive, once you get to know me and I open up I'm funny, I'm soft spoken, athletic, and get good grades. I know you ppl will think, "You were in 8th grade, I hear this all the time and you're wrong!" Well, I don't just ask girls out so for me to do it means a lot. In 8th grade, I feel in love with this girl. Long story short, she calls it off awhile later and I'm still not really over it (I've haven't had a gf since). I tried as hard as I could to set things up to meet up with her and we did every week. We never did that much (held hands blah blah blah 1st kiss no love making kinky stuff). Much later I found out that I was dumped bc it was awkward and... I'm confused. If I was a girl and saw a good guy with a great personality trying his hardest to show you a good time and that he loves you and never did you wrong then I'd think, "That's the one, the person I want to spend my life with who will always love me." Nope... maybe I'm missing a piece of the woman puzzle. So, I have come to the lovely ladies of Yahoo! Answers to evaluate on this and maybe give some advice. And one more thing... sympathy isn't needed and I don't want a feel good story of someone else.
