  • How Do You Get Rid of the fish called a Pleco?

I live on a canal in Davie, Florida. I have recently noticed the common bottom feeding fish called a pleco has a huge population in the canal. The problem is they dig or burrow in the bank and when I mow the bank falls away due to the fish digging into it. There are easily 30 just on my property alone. With those numbers its easy to see Im losing alot of real estate. What short of building an extremely expensive seawall could I do to get them to move or get rid of them? Thanks for your time.

  • Any body heard of HDCP? Want to burn froma DVR to dvd burner!?

I have a dishnetwork 722 HD DVR. I want to burn to a sonyhandycam dvd burner. I can get picture but no sound and did some research and found that it is probably due to the HDCP encryption placed in the digital stream. I have tried s video and component sound and all three component outs and cant get sound. I heard that if I use the S video and component sound it should work if I set the box down to 480. If anyone has dealt with this or has a theory Im all ears. Thanks for your time.

  • How would I know if a pipe in my backyard is for a well?

I recently found a 2 inch metal pipe in my backyard near the back wall of my garage and want to know if I can test it to see if it is an unfinished well. I know it is not a sewer clean out nor a vent pipe. I took a hose to it to see if muddy water would come out as to see if the pipe was just stuck in the ground and only clean water came out and then it drains down. I tried pushing the hose down the pipe but only got about 4 feet. My reasoning was if it doesn't drain then it was set it concrete and if muddy water came up it was simply a pipe stuck in the ground but alas neither was the case. I also tapped it and it resonates like it is pretty far down there and I cant move it. So how do I test it without buying the 300 dollar pump if it is not a well. I live in south florida and they tell me a well here would need to be 70 plus feet to be functional. Thanks for your time.
