  • My Whirlpool dual oven (GBD277PRS01) display light went out.?

I have the control panel exposed and pictures take of it if someone can help me. it looks like the light on the electronic panel that is in the top left corner of the display is burnt out. i wonder if i can just replace that part of the board (actual display) or if i need the full panel. it seems replacing the whole unit is way more expensive and less economical. please help. can email pics on request.

  • i have a back up in my washing machine drain (connectect to kitchen sink) is a snake or sewer jetter better?

ok, i posed before and now i have a little more info. the machine machine, when in the first rinse cycle, is backing up and up drain pipe and overflowing, just a bit. when i have run unclogging agents to clean it up, it never really worked. in running a hose down the drain (just not fast enough to overflow) you can see it slowly backing up the kitchen sink pipes as well.

i bought a 20' snake and ran it up the trap out the side of my house (outside kitchen sink wall). you can tell there is tons of sludge up there as the snake came back with a lot of black gew on it. with the little bit i cleaned out, after about 5-6 trips up the pipe, the washer does not overflow (per the last 3 loads), but i know it needs more attention.

should i get a roto rooter that goes much farther or is a sewer jetter going to be the best option to give my pipes a good cleaning?

  • my washing machine drain overflows during the first rinse and the kitchen sink backs up as well, please help!?

i live in a 40yo home. been there 2 years. up until a month ago, no problems (except for the crap water pressure). we have a whirlpool duet machine that pumps out water pretty quickly in the first rinse. recently it has gotten to the point where the draining water (near the end of the rinse) backs up the pipe and overflows just a bit on to the floor. unfortunately it is wrecking the wall also. at the same time, we have a double sink and the right side is backing up a bit as well, but not bad. enough to tell they are related. the left side of the sink might as well, but it has the insinkerator attched, so it would have to back up much more to notice.

i have put baking soda and vinegar down the machine drain and both sinks. then i ran hot water directly into the pipe. when i ran it highest you could really notice the back up in the sink, otherwise it is mild (but annoying). i attempted to snake the machine pipe, but only got about 5-7 feet it seemed.

can you please help with some suggestions of what i can do.

    thanks so much.

  • what should the labor cost for installing a evaporator coil (w/ expansion valve) be for attic a/c unit?

my unit is not working so i had a diagnostic yesterday. turns out the pressure switch was not allowing it to kick on cause the pressure is low. long short, i need a new evaporator coil, which should come with an expansion valve as well. these parts are under warranty, but i am told the labor i will have to pay is $400 for coil...or $175 if i just do the expansion valve. seems a little high. any suggestions?
