The last moments of using my computer, I installed an application I downloaded online, and then opened the application's setup a second time. Then my computer immediately shut off. (As in cut power, it did not shutdown)

At this point I was alarmed, but not convinced anything was wrong. But when I started my computer back up it automatically went into "System Recovery" mode and gave me the "Loading system files" page and then it started doing the "Startup recovery" tool that seems to be useless. Since it takes a while, I did not want to wait so I manually restarted the computer.

Now even if I select "Normal startup" in the f8 options, it begins with the normal W7 load screen, but then switches to the "Loading system files" page, and boots into recovery mode. If I select safe mode, it loads the first couple files up to CLFS.sys and then the "Loading system files" screen pops up.

I have tried lots of cmd commands from within recovery mode but nothing changes it.

In short, normal startup and safe mode start to load but switch to and load Windows 7 Recovery instead.

Windows 7 Recovery boots up fine, but I have not been able to use it to reverse this. Can anyone help with this loop?

My professor assigned a paper in which I have to include a citation for pages 358-366 of Rules for writers by Diana Hacker. She is very specific about citations and I was hoping to make sure I chose the correct format. It is a chapter in a handbook. What format do I use? Thanks

I have a small electric water heater and I am connecting the In and Out lines with the water supply. I have tried using teflon tape but that is not thick enough and the joint does not feel secure. I also have a paste that I have used for a gas line but it can be a little drippy before it dries. Could it damage the water heater?

I have a laptop with hdmi out (with sound), six 3.5 mm jacks, and spdif out. I want to use a HDTV and a 120 watt amp or two. Whats a good way to wire everything? I could use HDMI for video and audio to TV and then connect the amps to the TV. Or use HDMI for video, and then 3.5 mm or spdif out for audio. What would be best for quality?

I run a kitchen and I have a True brand full size refrigerator, and a True brand sanwich preparation unit, that has a half size refrigerator. Both have started to leak water onto the floor. I figure something has to be cleaned or unplugged. I have de-iced both and that temporarily stopped the leaks. Thanks.

My temperatures get very high and water leaks from (i think) the passengers side. Is this a bad water pump?

I have 3 intact fuses that do not get power. 10A "Crank' ; 10A "Illum" ; 10A "HTD MIR". The Crank fuse seems to be the only relevant fuse. The ignition coil has power but spark plugs get no power.

Malwarebytes got rid of most of my problem, but dp32.exe reinserts itself into the registry and overwrites any dummy files i try to put in its folder. Any other programs/ideas i could try?

I have 6gb Kingston ddr3 2000 ram. It works fine at this frequency, i can also go over 2000 easily. My processor i can stable up to 4.4ghz in this board, Prime stable. Now i try to put the two together and fail. (CPU OC done with lowest possible memfreq) I know there has to be a relationship between QPI and MEM multipliers. What is it, and how do i use it on an Asrock x58? I have a dropdown list for memory frequencies, but no multiplier setting. So i cannot actually know what multipliers i am using for QPI or for Mem freq.

I shut down my computer. Restart, it posts, comes to where the Windows logo would be, but all i see are dashes on top left corner. If i unplug power cable, and replug it boots up fine.

I can play crysis, and dragon age and games. But warcraft 3 just is choppy some times and diablo 2 has its moments too. Do i need to enable or disable something? 64bit 7.

My transmission slips when driving slowly but if you drive faster then 30 mph it drives perfectly. That being said, when i change my transmission fluid it always comes out black. What is causing this? Does the Saab have a transmission fluid filter that could be clogged? Any thoughts? Thanks.

I need a cheap fix. "Lubegard" M-V ATF Supplement says it enhances atf. Will this have any effect? Maybe some suggestions of other products?
