I am looking into selling my car; what is the best way to find out a fair listing price for it?
Specifically, how can I best use online resources to help me figure out how much I can expect to get for it?
How accurate/reliable are guides like Kelley Blue Book or Edmonds? Has anyone out there compared what you finally sold your car for with what these sites told you it was worth? I've tried browsing current for-sale listings, but they only tell you what the seller wants for it, not what the selling price actually was.
My wife and I are going to buy a newer replacement vehicle (not the same make/model as what we are going to sell) from a dealership, but I have never sold a car before. I'm not sure yet whether I will list it for a private party or go to a dealership for a straight-sale/trade-in, but I AM concerned about getting ripped off or underbid.
I may add details if necessary; any help in this would be much appreciated, thanks!

5 AnswersLaw & Ethics9 years agoIf a pregnant woman is in a coma and her husband is granted legal guardianship, can he order an abortion?
Provided that legal guardianship includes the right to make her medical decisions, and that she is not too far along the pregnancy for HER to have an abortion if she were lucid.
Or alternatively, could he prevent her from having an abortion if she had previously talked to family and friends about wanting one (suppose that she had even scheduled an appointment for later that week)?
Her body, but is it still her choice?
And yes, women CAN give birth to healthy children while in comas:

I have known parents who completely changed their minds about abortion (both ways) after they had children. Did you?
Let's try to keep this civil, shall we?

3 AnswersMarriage & Divorce9 years agoIf you have lived in many different places in your life, how would you answer "Where are you from?"?
For example, I grew up in one city, went to school in another city in the same state, moved to another city/state after graduation, then recently moved to yet another city/state.
So that would be four cities in three states where I have spent significant time. How do you describe where I am from? Is that a fundamentally different question than where I live?

3 AnswersMilitary9 years agoIs it considered a valid defense that a law enforcement officer told you that the offense was NOT illegal?
Consider the following hypothetical:
You are not sure if what you are about to do is illegal or not. You ask a police officer, who claims that said activity would NOT be illegal. You have witness who can verify this. You proceed, and the officer cites/arrests you for the offense that you were JUST told would not be illegal.
Would this be considered a valid defense? It might STILL be said that "ignorance of the law is not an excuse for breaking it", but could it be argued that you had a reasonable expectation to believe that what the officer told you regarding the law was correct?

6 AnswersMarriage & Divorce9 years agoIf you have snooped or "checked up on" your spouse and found nothing suspicious, were you actually satisfied?
By finding nothing, did you really feel confident that nothing inappropriate was going on?
Or did it just resolve you to look harder and dig deeper until you found something that you could use justify (at least to you) snooping in the first place?
Either way, did you suspicions end up being correct (regardless of whether or not your search uncovered any evidence thereof)?

I don't know if the demographic groups are the same, but I would imagine that they might be similar enough to at least ask the question: To what extent might the protestors themselves be responsible for the economy?
