  • I need help with flour substitution?

    I have a recipe for pumpkin bread which call for using 3/4 cups of all-purpose flour, but I don't have any. What I do have is oat flour as well as corn starch. I'm assuming a mix of the two would provide the best balance between taste and texture, but I don't know how much to put of each.

  • Substitute for 1/4 cup finely chopped green pepper?

    I don't have whole peppers because I don't like the texture of biting into actual vegetable chunks. I was wondering if I could use some sort of power or flakes as a substitute? I have Cayenne powder as well as red pepper flakes. How much would I use?

    Would sauce work better? I have Jalapeno sauce as well as Habanero pepper sauce, and plain old Tabasco.

    This is a crock pot Macaroni and Cheese recipie.
