While i am working out i always use weight that I can handle moderately easy but my entire body shakes while i lift, its been bugging me for some time i'd like to finally know why.

I've come not to associate myself with any sort of sect in Islam I don't understand why people choose to be Sunni, Shi'ah, Sufi or any other sect when the Qur'an clearly warns us against sects in verse 6:159 "As for those who split up their religion and become sects, thou hast no concern with them. Their affair is only with Allah, then he will inform them of what they did"

Sects split up the unity of the Muslim people and causes us to make enemies with one another when we should really be working together to advance towards making a better world.

Does anyone else share my views on this and not associate themselves with any sort of sect? I feel like one of a kind here I'm curious to see who else may share these views.

I'am Muslim and I recently started reading Dante's Inferno for my AP Literature class. Normally I don't mind reading Christian based literature but this book I find really offensive...The overview makes note that Dante meets Muhammad and Ali being tortured in one of the circles of hell and on one page there's an illustration of him being gutted...

I expressed my concerns and asked if I could read something different but I was told I had to read this or fail the class.

I don't understand why in the 21st century we still read this book when we know how prejudice it is to people of different faiths. I also find it weird that we're reading a book considered prophetical in some denominations of Christianity in public schools. Isn't there suppost to be a separation of Church and State in the USA?

What's the point of reading this book?

Any Ideas on how to fix or improve our country?

Seems like it. Egypt was successful. OWS though i may support their ideals isn't going anywhere.

Opinions?

Not meaning to question the words of the prophet (pbuh) but this to me implies that a man and a women shouldn't be alone together for fear that Satan may persuade them to fornicate. But shouldn't a true muslim only fear Allah and that we have nothing to fear from Satan. I have been alone in a house with several girls (only friends) and I have no problem with it no sexual thoughts come to mind.

I just want to see others opinions on this.
