Is It Wrong To Like To Be Alone?
I am a 28 year old stay-at-home wife and mother of 2 little girls. A bunch of moms in my very small town like to get together for "Mom's night out" once a month but I don't like to to attend. I have always been a bit of a loner with no friends and social situations make me extrememly uncomfortable to the point of feeling physcially ill. I am okay with staying at home, I am comfortable that way, but some of the Mom's are pressuring me to go out and let loose. They have even said that I must be some sort of crazy person to want to stay in all the time and suggest that "living it up" would be good for me. Some of these things they say hurt me. How can I let them know that I would rather just be myself, I am not a partier at all (I don't drink and they want me too), and I just like my alone time and I value my privacy?
4 AnswersFriends5 years agoIn-Law Problem?
We are buying a new dining room table this weekend because the one we have is LITERALLY falling apart. The chairs are a hazard to sit on. Its so old, it was a gift to my in-laws when THEY got married over 30 years ago. No one would even bother buying this thing for $20, it's that bad. We are taking it to the dump.
My in-laws are SO MAD! They think we can get $500 for it (HA!) and it's not like we can give back to them because we live over 1000 miles away. They have a brand new table anyways. We've had it for 9 years now and we have no room to store a broken down dining set. Am I wrong for getting rid of it and should they be mad?

2 AnswersHobbies & Crafts7 years ago8 Month Old Daughter Has Cold and Won't Drink Formula, Is Water Okay?
My 8 month old daughter has a cold and won't drink any formula. This is unusual for her because she always drinks it at her usual times, but I guess her cold is making her feel crumby. I decided to give her a bottle with just water in it and she took it right away like she was extremely thirsty. I know when I have a cold water soothes my throat, but is it okay to give my 8 month old water? She is 23 pounds, 31 inches long. Thanks.

2 AnswersPDAs & Handhelds8 years agoStop Posing With Your Tongue Ring Sticking Out!!?
Why the hell do girls think they look cool when they pose in numerous photos with their tongue rings sticking out and then they post them on Facebook for all to see? I have a cousin who does this daily. She looks like an idiot. No wonder she had 2 kids before she was 20 with a guy who is constantly in prison and who she is no longer with, she's too stupid to comprehend anything. She's a Mom and a 22 year old and she still does this, confirming her forever immaturity.
Is anyone else as annoyed with this photo trend as I am?
2 AnswersFacebook8 years ago41+ Weeks Pregnant... Help?
I'm 41 weeks and 2 days pregnant with my first baby. I went to see my doctor yesterday and I had a fetal assessment done. He said that I was on an induction waiting list but because my baby looks fine I am a low priority until I reach 42 weeks, then I will be pushed to the top of the list.
I am only 2 cm dilated and 80% effaced and I am having no contraction at all. I walk until I can walk no more, I've had sex with my husband, I've even been taking evening primrose oil because its been known to dilate the cervix more. Nothing is happening. I can barely move, my belly hurts to touch, and I just want this over with. What can I do to get this baby out of me?!

10 AnswersPregnancy9 years ago33 Weeks Pregnant, Nausea and Vomiting Has Returned?
I'm 33 weeks pregnant with my first baby and all of a sudden I've started having nausea and vomiting again. The first trimester was really bad for it, I was sick about 3 times a day everyday and I had to be put on medication for it. The second trimester was fine, I had no sickness at all.
Its not high blood pressure because my blood pressure has been low throughout my whole pregnancy. The only problems I have had is low iron levels and urinary tract infections.
I am also not hungry at all, I have no appetite. Just thinking about food makes me feel sick.
I have a prenatal appointment tomorrow and I'm going to ask about all this then, but I just want to know if this has happened to anyone else. Thank-you.
2 AnswersPregnancy9 years agoWii Sports Turns Husband Into A Crazy Person!?
My husband is playing baseball on Wii Sports. I just heard him call the fake computer player a "useless sack of sh*t" and he now he just said "why the f*ck did I swing at that?!".
He also talked to the game like it was a person. It said "its outta the park!" and he said "f*cking right it is!"
Is this normal?
3 AnswersNintendo Wii9 years ago8 Months Pregnant And Can't Be Out ALL Day!?
Some people I know are having a Jack and Jill party at a friends house tomorrow from 1pm to basically sometime after midnight or whenever people pass out/fall asleep/go home. I would like to attend but I am 8 months pregnant and there is no way I would be able to stay out that long. I suggested to the bride and groom that I show up later, maybe around 5-6pm so that I have enough energy to stay around for the evening activities, which is when the party is really going to get started anyways.
The problem is that the bridesmaid who is throwing the party is really mad that I will be coming late. Her reason is because she can only stay to 4pm and she wants people to be there when SHE is there. The bride and groom will be there all night. I tried to explain to her that this is my first baby and I can barely walk, but she told me I was being rude. The bride and groom don't care when I show up, they are just happy I will make it period. The bridesmaid doesn't understand what I'm going through either because she has never been pregnant.
What should I do? I want to go and show support for my friends, but I don't want the bridesmaid to be mad at me. I just physically can't be out for that length of time. If I show up at 1pm, I'll be leaving by 5pm.

2 AnswersHobbies & Crafts9 years agoCarpool Is Turning Into A One-Pool?
My husband is in a work carpool with 4 other people. Each person is supposed to drive one day a week.
Its been steadily going down hill. This week, my husband drove 4 out of the 5 days and the one person who did drive was 20 minutes late. The other people sleep in or don't bother to call saying they will be extremely late. One person even text messaged my husband at 2:30am saying he couldn't drive and asked my husband to drive. My husband didn't get the message until he woke up the next morning and he had barely any gas in his car.
My husband ALWAYS drives on his day, which is Monday. He is never late picking people up either. The other people are late every single day. I don't think its fair at all, they are obviously taking advantage of him. How can he tell these people that they have a responsibility to the whole carpool? He doesn't want to drive in everyday by himself because of gas prices.
3 AnswersCommuting9 years agoThanking Someone For Doing Nothing?
My husband and I are expecting our first baby, and it's going to be the first grandchild in the family. My parents are buying us the crib, and my husbands parents are buying us the matching dresser/change table.
My husbands parents said that my husbands brother and his fiancee don't have money to pitch in for anything, so they are going to just say the dresser/change table is from them too. However, I know they have money because they brag to us almost everyday about the things they have and the clothes shopping sprees they go on. They also just bought a new car with cash.
My husbands parents want us to write a thank you card to his brother and fiancee, but I feel I shouldn't have to because they didn't do anything to be thanked for. Plus, since we've been pregnant, they've been very hostile towards us and even told us that if we put their grandfather's name as the middle name, they will cut our child out of their lives.
What should I do?
6 AnswersEtiquette9 years ago1 Year Wedding Anniversary While Pregnant?
My husband and I will be celebrating our 1 year wedding anniversary on July 30th. The thing is, I will be almost 8 months pregnant at the time. I am currently 5 months pregnant. Due to the fact that it may be hard for me to get around at this time, what are some activities that we could do?
5 AnswersEngagements & Weddings9 years agoFriend Being Distant Because I'm Pregnant?
My friend lives about 4 houses down the street from me. We were very close, she was even a bridesmaid in my wedding last July. My husband and I always wanted a baby and I'm now happily 5 months pregnant with out first child! I thought my friend would be happy for me, but its the exact opposite.
Ever since we told her and her husband, they have basically stopped talking to us. They do not have any children and they don't plan on having any for a few years, so I couldn't see this as being a jealousy issue. I don't flaunt my pregnancy around her either, because of the way she's been I make it a point to not talk about it at all around her. We always invite them over for a movie night and they decline saying they are tired, but then we find out that they went to another persons house. We used to have dinner with them every Wednesday and even though they live so close, we haven't seen in them in months. If I do see her at the store or something, I say things like "Hey, we should go shopping!" but she just ignores me.
My family lives 2000 miles away and she is all I've got (besides my husband) and I feel like I did something wrong or I have to be very cautious around her. Why do you think she is being like this?

4 AnswersLaptops & Notebooks9 years agoChristmas Party With Rude Guests!?
My husband and I are hosting our first Christmas party this Saturday at our new house. We invited about 25 people, but only 6 people said they would come and others were too busy. It's natural, it is the holiday season of course.
I've been telling the people who are coming what to expect, such as loads of homemade goodies, games, and Christmas music. They have in turn told the people who said they couldn't come, and now they way to come. I haven already purchased everything for a small get together and seeing as how the stores are 1.5 hours away from where I live, I just can't go back out and buy more things.
I think that since they already rsvp'd with a 'no', they are not coming and that's that. What should I say to people who think they are now coming?
