  • Help with turntable set up?

Hi, I am just getting into vinyls and turntables. I have recently bought a Sony PS-LX150H turntable and without doing proper research didn't realise I would need an amp (or pre amp/phono amp?) and that my speakers would not be good enough. So I am looking for a helping hand on which amps and speakers would be recommended. As I am a student I would like to do thing fairly cheaply and on budget, thanks

  • poor running time after break?

Hi, I am fairly new to running. I usually run on the treadmills because I feel I can track my progression easier,. I have recently been able to run 5km in 27 minutes, my best so far. I have had 2 weeks off as I was moving back to uni, today I managed 5km in 37 minutes as I felt I had to slow down because I couldn't keep up the usual pace. I usually have the incline on the treadmill at level 1 so it's not as hard on my knees, whether the treadmills at the new gym has more of an incline I do not know. Just wondering if anyone has had a drop off like this after a bit of a break? Thanks for reading

  • Tills down at work?

Hi, tills most of the time seem to be down by a maximum of £10. Today before we opened the manager said how it was down the previous day and that we should be extra careful and make sure we are doing everything right.

At the end of the day one of the tills was £11 down, another £7 down and the other £3 down. Our system is that one person is always on a till and when it gets busy someone gets on another and if needed someone gets in the third till.

I asked which tills were down by the figures above, but he couldn't remember off the top of his head. I know I did and my other 2 colleagues said that they double checked that they gave away the right amount of change. We are certain that we all did everything right. But do not know why they were down

hi, i am planning on going to uni in September 2018. the uni is around 25 miles away from home and about 45-60 minutes drive away.

i currently do not have a car so will have to buy one. the minimum it looks like i will have to pay for uni accommodation is around £97 per week, this doesn t include food and other expenses.

i am slightly socially awkward, i can make friends, but i am quite quiet and i feel do not come out of my shell until i actually know someone and am used them.

  • not sure about lifeguarding?

hi, i am currently 18 and last summer i was a lifeguard for a local waterpark, i had 2 rescues, in the baby pool and then someone who had to lead down the slide because they had bumped their head. last year when it got busy i always felt stressed and worried that i would miss something, each morning before i would start i felt really anxious. the summer is about to start and i am not sure whether to have another season there as i am stressed just thinking about it. i also think another problem is that i do not have much self-confidence.

has anyone got any advice to manage the stress? do you think that i should go back?

    thanks
