I always have since I was like 11. But, back then I thought it was a "phase". That's what people told me. "Oh, you're just a teenager, it's a phase you're going through." I'm 18 now and I only resent my mom even more. It's not a phase, it's who I am. Being any where near her destroys my will to do anything in life. I won't go into details but she just carries this negative energy that kills my soul.

That explains why I love staying up all night, because she's asleep. I don't have to ******* listen to her talk or tell me what to do. During the day, I like going outside just to be away from her. She's doesn't have a real job so she's ALWAYS home. She won't let me go to my friend's houses because she thinks they're bad influences and if I do, she'll kick me out. I don't have any other friends.

So anyways, now that I'm 18, I've been thinking of leaving this prison. But, I don't have a job or a car. I've tried applying at like 10 different jobs but no one wants to hire me. Probably because I don't have a car. Oh wait, I can just get a car right? Nope, because I'm broke, because I don't have a job.

I've also thought about just packing up my stuff and leaving. But, I don't want to throw my life away. I start college in 2 weeks. I wan't to do good in college and get a bachelor's degree in physics. If I just leave and sleep on a park bench (which I have done) my life will become a disaster.

I don't have friends or family to live with either. My dad lives in a different state.

So after Germany vaporized Brazil in their own World Cup, what does it mean for the two semi finalists left? Will tomorrow's match be a competition to see who gets 2nd place and who plays Brazil for 3rd or do you think either of these two teams still have a chance vs Germany?

If you're a girl, and your grabbing a guys hand to lead him some where...is it normal to literally press his hand on one of your boobs? Like, do girls do this accidentally or are they trying to get you to touch their ****?

This has happened to me twice. First, this girl from my school was pretending that I was her boyfriend as a joke (she thought it was funny), so she asked me to walk her to her next class and grabbed my hand. While walking around the school she literally had my hand pressed against one of her **** for a good minute or two.

The second time it happened was with my neighbor who's a M-I-L-F. She had a baby possum trapped in her garage and I was in my driveway playing soccer so she runs over yelling for help and when I agreed to help her she lead me to her garage to show me the possum and she held my hand and did the exact same thing....and she actually had a nice rack so I almost got a b0ner.

Do girls do this intentionally or am I being delusional??

Obviously, this is beyond impossible but...what if an observer were to freeze time and observe every single point in space, particle of matter, force carrier and measure absolutely every measurable aspect of everything, and take all of this into account (including at the quantum level)...wouldn't this make it possible to predict everything that will happen after time is unfrozen again at the quantum and macroscopic level?

If so, this would suggest that quantum super position is false and all events sit on a single predetermined and predictable timeline. Not knowing the state of a system such as an electron is simply due to the observer's ignorance.

In the thought experiment; Schrondinger's cat...if the observer were aware of everything going on in the system, couldn't he simulate the system in action and use logic to conclude weather or not the atom decayed and weather or not the cat died?

It seems more logical that we live in a cause and effect Universe where anything that happens is caused by a previous event (at the quantum and macroscopic level)...rather than a Universe where everything is random and unpredictable.

I'm a 17 year old guy and a senior in high school. Throughout middle school I was never really popular or anything but I had my little group of friends throughout all 3 years. After 8th grade, everyone in my group of friends went to different high schools than I me, so freshman year I was basically alone. I didn't have any "friends"..just people I talked to in class or walking to class. Sophomore year was about the same. I talked to a few people I had class with, but I was alone, and didn't have anyone I could call a true friend.

For my junior year I transferred to a private school that my brother had been going to since 3rd grade (he's in the same grade as me). At this new school, I quickly met a couple of people who I currently consider my friends but, they're aren't close friends...at all. They are people I talk to a lot, and sit next to at lunch, and joke around with. They aren't friends who I talk to outside of school or hang out with. I may text them every once in a while but they are TRUE friends. The last good friend I had was a kid I met in 8th grade who did go to a different high school but we still kept in contact and hung out until my junior year, where we just suddenly stopped talking and we haven't ever since.

While I have had "acquaintances" and people who I socialize with in school, I have yet to meet someone who I can truly connect with and develop a close friendship with. I've never been in a relationship either. I've gone on 2 dates with 2 different girls in my life, neither worked out (I ended the first one, the second one lost interest in me). And I think part of the reason I also am having trouble with finding a girl is because I don't have any true friends...what girl wants to date some loner with nobody else to hang out with?

I am seriously starting to lose hope..I just want to meet people I can connect with and develop a REAL friendship...I'm of just sick of hanging out with people in school but spending my weekends alone.

It seems that Christians and Catholics or whatever the hell they're called love to say they "see" god all over the world, proving his/her existence.

So tell me, how do you see god? Does he walk up to you or something? We're you on cough syrup when it happened?

I'm being serious, they say it all the time...for example: Some one asks: "How do people know God exists?" The Christians audaciously reply: "How can you NOT know he exists? He can be seen everywhere!" What kind of drugs do you need to be on to this guy all over the place?

Alright so yesterday my friend invited me over to her neighborhood to hangout with some of her friends and while I was over there, one of her other friends (who didn't hang out with us) saw me with them (maybe she drove by her something) and she told my friend that I was cute and wanted me to text her. So my friend gives me her number and I text her and we start texting back and fourth. Somewhere in between those texts I send her a request on FB, so we keep texting and after the last text I sent her she never replied back...like 2 hours go by and by then I just assumed maybe she got her phone taken away or something. But then she accepts my friend request on FB but still wont text back. Its been like 12 hours and nothing........WTF

For the past few months I have been reading and learning a lot about the nature of the Universe. One thing that has puzzled me is time dilation. I don't understand how it is possible. I have spent much time reading articles about it and the theory of relativity. But, from my knowledge, time dilation cannot be possible, here is why:

* I AM NOT TRYING TO PROVE ALL OF THE GREAT COSMOLOGISTS AND PHYSICIANS WRONG, I AM SIMPLY STATING WHAT I UNDERSTAND ABOUT THE MECHANICS OF THE UNIVERSE (which must be wrong), AND HOW IT SEEMS TO DISPROVE TIME DILATION*

Lets use the classic spaceship analogy where observer A is on earth, and observer B gets on a spaceship that travels close to the speed of light. Observer B then takes off on his space ship and flies away. Observer A is on earth looking at the spaceship through a powerful telescope. The spaceship has a window and observer A sees observer B's face through the window, noticing that he is aging at a slower rate (both observers were identical twins at the start of the experiment). This is because time is flowing slower for observer B in relation to observer A because of the Doppler effect. As the photons bounce off of observer B's face, since he is in motion (moving away from earth) they are emitted at a lower frequency.

This results in observer A receiving updates on observer B's appearance, at a lower rate, making him seem to age slower (making observer A jealous). So far, time dilation seems to be possible. But, after traveling some distance, observer B decides to turn around and go back to earth. Now, the Doppler effect is reversed. Observer A is now receiving photons transmitted by observer B at a higher frequency, thus receiving updates on his appearance at a higher rate, making him appear to age quicker than before. This should completely negate the decreased aging observer B seemed to experience as he traveled away from earth. By the time observe B finally makes it back to earth, both observers seem to have aged the same amount, proving the existence of time dilation as impossible.

What am I not understanding here? How exactly does time dilation work if this^ doesn't disprove it?

From my understanding, color is basically photons being reflected off of objects at different wavelengths. Why do certain objects reflect photons at different frequencies (wavelengths) than others?

I was raised Catholic..by the time I was 14 or 15 I blindly switched to Atheism. I am now 16. Very recently, I have switched from Atheism, to Agnostic. Atheism seems like an ignorant religion. How can we assume that God or any other deity does not exist in the explorable Universe? Until we fully (100%) understand the laws of spacetime and ALL physical aspects of the cosmos, we cannot set a criteria as to what can and cannot physically exist in the Universe.

Therefore, we cannot come to the conclusion of whether or not super natural deities (Gods) exist in this Universe. We DO NOT understand the laws of physics..we cannot explain why gravity does not affect particles at the sub atomic scale, we actually cannot explain gravity itself. We are uncertain of how many dimensions exist. String theory suggest that well over 10 dimensions exist. Other theorists believe an unlimited amount. Until we fully understand the Universe, we cannot determine that supernatural deities do not (or cannot) exist.

In summary, we cannot conclude that super natural beings do not exist because a super natural being is something that does not follow the laws of physics, but we do not understand the laws themselves, so we cannot draw conclusions. The existence of super natural beings cannot be categorized as illogical.

I swear to god, if anyone says anything about trolling, I will lose my faith in humanity.

I want to get a career working for FIFA, organizing the World Cup and other tournaments. I checked the FIFA website and it says that the competitions division is in charge of this.

What would I have to study in College to get a job in this division? Thank you.

I don't like planet earth, I don't like humans. We have over developed. Instead of just pursuing survival like all other organisms, we pursue other things like happiness and success. This has doomed us all to eternal suffering. I want to leave and ride a unicorn into space or some **** like that. I want to go to Pollux and smoke weed while listening to Com Truise. I hate it here. I have reached inner peace, I now understand the entire world and why everything happens. God is not the answer, logic is the answer. Before reaching this state of mind, my head was a violent ocean. I really want to get a career working in European Football. I watch football on TV all the time and I know a lot about it. What are some good paying career options? Please just list out as many careers that will get me involved in football as you can.

I'm going to make this short. I'm a guy and 16. When I was 15 I smoked a total of 5 cigarettes, each one about a week in between, just because I was bored and wanted to see what it was like. Will 5 cigarettes do any noticeable harm to my body? I don't smoke anymore, don't plan to, I want to keep my lungs and heart healthy. If you're just going to call me dumb for smoking, leave and find something to do please.

Okay I know this is really long, if you're not going to read the whole thing, make sure you read the last paragraph, I make a good point there. PS. Not trying to insult anyone or any religion here, just want to hear some opinions.

I just don't understand it. There's absolutely nothing in the human world that points towards God's existence. Science explains pretty much everything in the universe, religion fails to explain most of it. How can someone worship a being like God?

How can people worship someone who sends other to Hell for not believing in him? I mean, we're not born knowing god exists..it's "his" job or "Jesus'" job to teach us his ways. So if he fails and doesn't convince us, we're doomed to burn in hell?

How can people believe in someone who lets the Holocaust happen? Think about the Holocaust, loyal Jews who worshiped their god and prayed everyday, sent to camps where they were gassed, shot, burned, hung, beaten, starved, dissected, and piled into mass graves with other corpses. All of this while the people who committed these atrocities, lived in luxury. And please don't explain the Holocaust by saying "hurr durr they were Jewish so god punished them..". I'm not just talking about Christianity, I'm talking about all religions who believe in God/s.

How can people believe there's a magic man sitting on top of a cloud controlling everything that happens? How come the information in the bible is limited to human knowledge at the time it was written? The bible doesn't say anything about things that were unknown back then, such as other galaxies and solar systems. All of these clues point towards the bible being written by men trying to explain the origin and purpose of life, not from the creator of everything that exists.

I was born and raised Roman Catholic, but I need solid evidence to believe in something. These fairy tales that tell about a magician creating everything out of nowhere and sending people to burn forever just doesn't convince me.

I know it's coming so I'll say it now. People love to argue that "well there's no evidence that God doesn't exists.." This argument is invalid. You can't find evidence that something doesn't exist. If it doesn't exist, it simply doesn't exist. Try finding evidence that the tooth fair doesn't exist...couldn't find any huh? Try finding evidence that a goat riding a bicycle with a potato on his head while composing music doesn't exist...no dice my friend.

All my life I have always liked to take things apart, fix them, learn how they work, and put them back together. This includes both mechanical and electronic devices such as PSP's, PS3 controllers, electro-pneumatic paintball guns, lawn mower motors, goped motors, dirt bike motors ect. I also enjoy soldering and have successfully repaired a few electronics by soldering. I'm very good at mathematics and learning how things work by myself. What career opportunities could I have in the fields of engineering?

I am also interested in Astronomy, Cosmology, and Thought experiments.

Ok so the other day I was at a party and when I was leaving I went to say bye to 3 people who were at the party sitting on a bench outside. It was 2 guys and a girl, girl was in the middle. I don't know the 3 of them too well but I met them before. I did the stupid "bro" hand shake with the 2 guys but when I went to say bye to the girl I didn't really know what to do, I don't know her that well and she was sitting down so I didn't know if to give her a hug or handshake or just say bye or what. It was kinda awkward.
