  • death penalty state by state?

Hi, posting a question on behalf of my daughter (schoolwork on democracy) : she has read that in some states it has been abolished through popular voting, and wants to know if people in all the other states - where the death penalty is still in force - have been given the opportunity to do the same (vote) at some point in the past. Thanks!

  • a question about laptop cables?

A girl at school had problems with her new laptop, she said she had it charging all night but the battery lasted just a few minutes and it was out. I borrowed a cable from another pupil so she could be finished with her work, but after a few minutes the laptop kind of "died" on her.I think I had checked the cable`s transformer to see if the output was the same (this happened 2 years ago, so I`m not that sure now....) but the pc never recovered and she had to buy a new one - or got a new one from the shop, I did not ask. Is it possible that the wrong cable killed her pc? I suppose the transformer feeds the battery, so it shouldn`t be possible to fry the pc through the battery, or is it? I feel really bad....

  • what kind of food for old pet mice?

My 2 pet mice are getting old (about 2 years and 8 months) and thin. I don`t think I ever had mice that old, my previous ones died of sickness or tumor when they were around 2 years old. I was wondering if they teeth got dull, and they have problems eating the usual food. Should I give them something softer? And in that case, what?

    Thanks!

  • the many lives of ana?

I`ve seen a movie (a month ago) on the tv and since I`ve tried to find it again but I can`t remember the title (here was translated as "the many lives of ana" or something like that). It`s the story of a girl who is getting hypnotized and finds out that she has lived many lives and that she died many times in a lot of violent ways. At the end she discovers she is a kind of ancient goddess - ok, the movie was really good and not that simple as I`m telling here. I seem to remember it was a spanish production. Somebody who can help me here? I tried to search on the net but didn`t find anything. Thanks!
