i like helpin people that wants to help their selves but doesnt hav the knowledge or ability do so,i dont like people or companies that try to take advantadge of people that doesnt know the maint. end of taking care of a home or apartment,thats why i give so much of my spare timeto this site i have 2 great daughter and 3 wonderful grand kids,i am a true car crazy guy,love to build them and drive them,love wood working,building &reproducing antuiqe furniture,my skills as a heating and air tech has gotten me a position of regional maint. dir. for a large multi family housing corp.and i have 25 years experience in this field and love to go to work everyday,and i am always eagar to learn something new everday
dell flat panel monitor mod#1901 FP?
i was given this monitor and was told they thought it worked but wasn't sure,now i have hooked it up to my computer and at first all i got was the test screen,then i went and purchased a Gav cable,i was using just a usb cable i was told that's all i needed,however i found that not to be the correct way to run it,so after hooking up the vga cable i still got the test screen,then i went to the dell site and downloaded the drivers for it,so now this is what it is doing,when i turn on my system and then the monitor i get the test screen first then i get a beautiful clear screen with great color and depth for about 10 to 15 seconds then it gos black,but i can turn the power switch off and back on and its does the same thing,does anyone know what could possibly be the reason its doing this and what is the best way to resolve it if putting it in the shop is the only answer you can give please don't,i can figure that one out on my on,could it be my system or do i need to do something else to my system to make it work with this monitor

it really doesn't matter what factory it is as long as they are the manufactuer. i am a regional maint. director for a med.sized mulity family housing corp.& i have around 50 maint.sup.&techs, myself&another regional have begun setting up classes on a monthly bases to train our maint.dept. so i need someone from a mfg.of hotwater heaters(elec&gas) to come to our company and give a class on hotwater heaters.
