  • SAT II's for Georgetown University?

The school requires all scores to be sent and the subject tests are strongly recommended. If i took more than 3 subject tests do I send more than 3? I did terribly on one of them, but very well on the other 3. Is it better to send all of them including the bad score or not send them at all?

  • I am going to Europe for 2 weeks this summer, how much spending money do i need?

My parents are paying for my trip, but I have to provide my own spending money. I am pretty sure that breakfast and dinner are paid for as part of the package. How much would I need, like $2500 U.S. dollars? I don't really know how much the souveneers will cost. We will be traveling in Italy and Spain and will be visited Rome, Madrid, Asisi etc.

  • Which language is hardest to learn, Arabic, Farsi, or Chinese?

I want to learn another language. English is my first language and I have a decent grasp of the Spanish language. I know a little bit of Italian from elementary school. I plan on using Rosetta stone to learn a language. Should I go with Italian because it is so close to Spanish and I already know a bit of Italian. (very basic, mostly food, animals, and colors) I think Arabic Farsi and Chinese would be more useful than Italian, but they have a different alphabet which doesn't appeal to me.

  • How can I tell how proficient I am in a language?

I take spanish in school and have completed Spanish 3 honors. Is there a way I can test how good at Spanish I am? I don't know how to gage my ability. On a recent plane ride i read a spanish magazine and got most of what I read. I also read People en Espanol online sometimes and mostly understand that. What constitutes fluency. I know i'm nowhere near fluent, but does fluent mean I know it as well as my first language?

  • How to help someone meditate/past life regress?

In my psychology class we have meditated and done past life regressions. I want to try them at home on my family. I have a basic idea of what to do from class but I would love tips. What exactly should I say in the past life regression. I am not really expecting much from it, but I really want to try. I have some nice relaxing music and relaxing candles. What else do I need? Thanks in advance!

  • Is there less gravity under water? Is that why delicate creatures like jellyfish can survive?

In Deception Point they use this explanation, but I am not sure if it is accurate.

  • What language should I learn?

I am decent in spanish, but would not consider myself fluent. I take spanish in school.

Before I started spanish I took a little bit of italian (like 2 years starting in kindergarten.) I am going to Italy in like a year, I remember a little italian, enough to order dinner, name the colors, count to ten, say hello goodbye yes no sorry excuse me. I know it is similar to spanish, so will i be able to understand people in italy? On this trip I am also going to spain.

Would it be more useful to learn latin for the SAT's or to learn Arabic or Chinese. I plan on buying a Rosetta Stone program, but I cannot decide. PLEASE HELP!

  • How much do summer programs help you get into good colleges?

I get offers all the time for leadership summits and summer programs for government and leadership at school's like Harvard and Princeton. Does it make a big difference if I go to one? If I want to go to Georgetown would a summer at Georgetown help me get it? Most of these programs aren't run by colleges, but by groups like People to People. They all sound like so much fun! Which one's have you gone to and which are your favorite?

  • Dream Interpretation? Help Please!?

I have had two recurring dreams that I do not understand.

One starts out and I am sitting on someone's couch in an office when we hear gunshots. I don't know the guy (who is hot) in the room with me but I think we are friends. Then I hear people shouting and running down the halls. I look out the blinds in the office. There are armed guards sprinting down the corridor. Then one of the guards comes in and tells us to stay put. The man in the room with me always responds by asking what is going on. The guard always ignores him and leaves. I hear more gunshots and screaming and then I wake up.

I have had this dream since I was 9, so 5 years. It doesn't happen very often usually, but I have had it 5 times this month. I feel like the dream is taking place in the White House and the guards are Secret Service. I have been watching a lot of West Wing lately, but the dream started one year before I started watching the show.

The other dream is really weird and after I wake up I have a weird feeling inside that stays with me for a few hours. There are these two people I don't know and they appear to be dating. One night, someone breaks in to a house and kidnaps the girl. The boy is very frustrated and becomes obsessed with finding her. He eventually tracks her down with the help of the FBI and he saves her. She tells him that she didn't want to be saved and that her kidnappers planned to sell her in sexual slavery. She says she was tired of feeling trapped by him and that she actually wanted to become free by becoming a slave. They are sitting on the beach having this conversation and then all of a sudden it's three years later and they are at someone's wedding and someone asks them if they are together. They say they are taking it slow, then they kiss. I've had this dream only 3 times and I don't wake up scared, but with a knot in my stomach. I don't know what these dreams mean!
