  • My 22 month old having persistent faver?

    Hi,

My 22 month old has been having fever on and off this week since must monday night. Took him to the GP on tuesday as he was vomiting as well, and the GP said it must be the rota virus, and he suspected that it may develop into d+s well as is normally the case with the virus. Well its sunday now and over the past 40 hours his temp has not gone below 38 degrees. Its mostly been 38.7 degrees At the moment its 38.8 in one ear and 37.8 in the other which is strange. I was alternating between calpol and nurofen til 7.30 yesterday but read on the nhs website that this is not recomnded so he's just on calpol now. He's up and about but his fever is still high. I dont know whether to take him to the er or not. His older brother who's 7 has been complaining of a headache and has a temp of 37.7. Please advise

  • Argumentative seven year old?

My seven year old just recently became argumentative. He has an answer for everything. He doesn't seem to want to be rude, but its like words just flow out of his mouth everytime something is said to him, so you get a lot of 'no I didn't, but I didn't put it there, yes you did...' etc. I don't want to destroy his confidence but at the same time I don't want an insolent child. Any advice?
