My family and I have had Toshiba laptops for the past 6-7 years, all with satisfactory performance.

My grandson is graduating from high school shortly and I want to buy a laptop for him. My first inclination is to buy him a Toshiba,but recently I've read reviews that suggest that Acer and Sony have more elaborate products in the same price range.. I'm looking to spend @$800. Any particular model you would recommend. Thanks to all that answer. Granpa R.

Our 00 Taurus, bought new, has been a great car, still runs /looks near new, but the headlights are dim now. It was equipped from the factory with daytime running lights which I understand operate at @ 70% of full illumination. it seems that 70% level is all we get even when manually turned on. Bulbs have been replaced recently, but no noticeable improvement. Perhaps, a Ford electrical tech has the answer, or perhaps you've experienced similar condition. All advice other than dispose of the car is welcomed. Thanks
