Joined in April as an AMAR. Currently been at my shore duty command for a few weeks and now realizing how I am not good at what AMs do. I never really was mechanically inclined but thought It would be cool to work on aircraft,I never was good with cars or tools. I have been told that I could cross rate in 2 years but that it is difficult and usually only jobs like BM,ABE,HT are available for crossrate. I am going to keep trying my best though, any advice would be great

Started at a warehouse as an order selector 2 weeks ago. For the past 5 days the part where my lower back meets my *** has been hurting. First it was my left side now its both. It hurts to walk mostly but i can still somewhat bend. I cannot get insurance until 6 months in and I cant quit because of rent. The only insurance I am able to get is under my moms but I am afraid they will let me go if I cant work/ suspend me until I am able to work. What should I do?

Tattoo artist was at a convention and they left. Thinking of maybe getting a very reputable one in town to just add another more detailed one on top?

I am 20 and work as a detailer at a bodyshop making $10 an hour 45-50 hours a week. My friend who works at a warehouse always tells me to work there because they give raises, pay more, and oppurtunity to move up to forklift driver. Only thing is this job is known for its high turn over rate and in my town either you have worked there or someone you know has. I just dont know what I'd do if I couldnt make it. The thing that makes me think i can is all of my friends who have worked there did it, they just fount different jobs. Any advice?

I have a 140gallon aquarium. Should this be an issue if I move into a 2nd floor apartment?

I tried joining the military since I was 17. My dad told everyone and was super proud. I couldnt get in since I had custom orthotics. Now he tells people "Idk what he wants to do". I cant join any form of law enforcement because of past drug use. I am considering firefighter but something tells me I will fail like I did the military. Either not being able to get my EMT or not being able to pass a certain test to get into the academy. How do I overcome this fear?

I am thinking about going to trade school for auto body repair but i am hesitant. I am not very tool savvy and my friends who did go to trade school already had knowledge of their profession before going. Should I just get a job as a detailer, helper and work my way up?

I am 20 years old, I work full time at a body shop as a detailer and I am currently moved out of my parents with 2 roomates. I dont know what I want to do with my life. Sometimes I dont think I want a perfect job for me, just a job that pays good and im good at. I started working at this body shop because I wanted to learn how to fix cars or paint cars. But moving up here seems very difficult. I can be moved up to painters helper, once these college guys quit but its not guaranteed. Even then there's no guarantee that I will learn anything else. Ive tried going to college at my local school but I didnt know what I wanted to do and ended up taking random classes for an entire year and did not re enroll.

I applied at a collision center for a entry level detail position, and after that I went in and spoke with the hiring manager about 2 weeks ago. He seemed like he was interested because I already have detail experience. He informed me that he would start calling for interviews after the new years. I then went in Wednesday last week just to check in and he said that he would start getting interviews ready by the end of that week. So far no calls. How soon should I contact him about the job?

I work as a detailer at a bodyshop which I applied to be a painters helper to see if painting was something I want to do. They needed a detailer instead, so to get my foot in the door I accepted. 3 months in and detailing is kicking my *** and to top it off, for me to get to painters helper I would need to wait until 1 of the 2 college kids graduate and quit. Even then I dont think the painter would be interested in teaching because the owner is very harsh and strict and everyone I asked tells me they haven't gotten taught to paint. I dont know if I should try to stick it out here, or try and apply at other bodyshops as a detailer or helper and ask beforehand if they are willing to teach. Any advice?

I work as a detailer at a body shop. Sometimes the workload is just too much for me, today my workload is to detail 8 cars, most of which take upwards of 2 hours to complete. Every day i come to work I fear of making a mistake or can t keep up and my boss is very harsh, so getting fired is on my mind every day, to the point where even eating is not a priority. If i do get fired the only other job that will hire me right away is a warehouse job that is just as strenuous. And i keep telling my parents im doing ok at my job but i dont want them to know im not. And they wont like me working at the warehouse cause they know how bad the turnover rate is there. Im scared for my life right now. Whats even worse is that my first appointment with my doctor for anxiety is next week and I thought that it would help but its only making it worse because I dont think ill even have a job next week. Im scared for my life right now and i want to break down crying at work right now. I dont know what to do anymore

My brother is 24 and not in a good place in life right now. He quit his job even if it was a car wash job he didnt need to quit. He is now selling weed and asked if my friends wanted to buy some. He also has a girlfriend who is 4 months pregnant. He asked if my job was hiring and I just told him we recently hired someone but ill let him know. Its hard for me not to feel bad because he was there for me when we re young. Whenever my parents fought or we went through bad times he did everything he could for me and now I'm watching him destroy his life. Am i supposed to feel pity? If not how do I get rid of it?

Ive worked at a body shop for about 2 months now as a detailer and my brother quit his job and wants to try to work with me. He asked if we needed help and I just told him "You can try to talk to the owner", and we don't really need any more people. I don't hate my brother its just he has a hard time holding a job and I really want to move up and learn the trade. The thing that makes me anxious is having the talk with my boss about my brother comming in and applying and the questions that come with. I don't want my brother to be jobless but damn, I was anxiety free for a couple days and this brought it back.
