driving coast to coast - tips / comments?
I plan to drive from NYC, NY to Sacramento, CA in a couple of weeks, but I want to make the most of it and stop at national parks, interesting places, etc. Does anyone have any tips? I recognize that this could be the only chance I get to do this. I may be able to give myself 15 days or so for this...
The one place I definitely want to see it the Grand Canyon. So, I think going that way may be better than to go through the northern states.
Also, I'd appreciate any tips on the general trip (other than stops)
Thank you in advance.

Want to use the scanner to send emails right from the machine(preferably using sbcglobal account).
How would I do this? SMTP Gateway says 0.0.0.0 right now. Same for LDAP Gateway.

What would you recommend? I would like it to be as complete as possible and also to not look like it will break in a minute (not looking for cheap stuff). It would be great if it had a snake flashlight that can be reliable.
2 AnswersOther - Hardware1 decade agoPortable Loudspeakers for Presentations?
I am looking to get a pair of portable loudspeakers to be used for presentations (20 to 40 ppl in a medium sized room). As you can imagine, a group this large will have added noise on top of the presenter's comments so I am looking for the best loudspeakers that I could find. No subwoofer needed.

I was looking to book an international flight and I noticed that there is an economy ticket at around $460 but it said "with restrictions" and then there was another economy ticket (same itinerary, same flight even!) at $1760 this time it said "without restrictions"..what's the main difference?
2 AnswersAir Travel1 decade agoLadies...is there a hidden message in her conversation??
Ok so a friend of mine and I--not good friends, just friends, I don't think we've ever hung out or anything---we were chatting online and I asked her how her summer was going..she said it was ok, working and stuff, and she also mentioned that she recently became single again
We always comment on each others profiles at this social website and we are always making funny remarks and all---needless to say I like her and I would like to know if you were in this situation where you are talking to a more-or-less of a friend..would you tell him out of no where that you recently broke up with your bf? do you think she is hinting that I should "do something"---ask her out to a date....
i know it sounds like a high school problem but it's just that i have no idea what just happened there lol
5 AnswersSingles & Dating1 decade agoSpeeding ticket--Connecticut?
So i got a speeding ticket back in October '06. (Pleaded not guilty)
I went for a hearing in April '07 and still said not guilty---got a Court Date.
Now I got a call from the Court House saying that the officer cannot make it to court the day I am supposed to go in, and that I should tell them when I can go in...if I don't then they will assign a new date---something that works best for THEM...
what should I do???
3 AnswersLaw Enforcement & Police1 decade agocomp virus??? keylogger?
so the weirdest thing happened to my laptop last night ---
---I am surfing the net when all of the sudden the keyboard stops responding----not all the keys, but most of them
Last I knew before that happened I rejected a cookie (don't remember what it was but I knew it wasn't something I wanted on my laptop)...then when i tried to open internet explorer from quick launch i would get IE properties...all the other quick launch programs would do the same with their respective properties window...
I was able to get to the task manager and killed all the processes that were not familiar and that entire problem went away. I ran my anti virus program and it didn't find anything (nada---zero!) so I am still unsure of what happened!

1 AnswerSoftware1 decade agoDoes anyone know of a book that includes a section about time travel @ around the year 3000?
I once saw this set of books--I believe over 10 in the set-- and I picked up one of them and it talked about a NASA astronaut in the year 3000-something who travels back in time and because of all his knowledge of the future becomes a profet, and from "birth" thought of as the son of God---he is supposedly the one we all know as Jesus Christ.
I have not been able to find the name of those books----I had written it down but I lost the information. Cannot go back to the store where I saw it because it was not in the US. [it was translated from english though].
