  • What song should I learn next on guitar?

I am currently in a musical slump. The last song I learned all the way through was, I believe, Mood for a Day by Yes. That was a little over a year ago. I currently only play fingerstyle, I have been trying to learn how to play new things but, starting at the basics is too easy and just looking for tabs is too hard. I am not even sure I want to play different kinds of music, fingerpicking sounds so good and it is a lot of fun. What should I do? Should I learn another fingerpicking song or, should I try something new? Here is a list of songs I know just for a reference:

    The Entertainer by Scott Joplin

    Blackbirds by the Beatles

    Classical Gas by Mason Williams

House of the Rising Sun by the Animals

I'd Love to Change the World by Ten Years After

    Yesterday by the Beatles

Dust in the Wind by Kansas

    Classico by Tenacious D

Closer to the Sun by Slightly Stoopid

    Roundabout by Yes

I can also play most of:

Never Goin' Back Again by Fleetwood Mac

    and a little bit of:

    Cannonball Rag by Merle Travis

There are others but either I can't think of them or, they aren't worth mentioning.

Either way, I need some song recommendations.

    Thanks,

  • Help Learning Cannonball Rag on Guitar?

Does anyone know of any good tab (preferably not power tabs) or video that will teach me how to play Cannonball Rag?

The biggest problem I have is figuring out the right hand of the song. I have been watching two videos on Youtube:

This is the version I would like to learn but, I can only figure out from 2:17 - 2:41

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=In1YwsTXuqk&feature...

I don't think this one sounds as pretty but I figured out from 0:20 - 1:00

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6LR_l5a-E_Q

The first video shows me all of the chords but it never really talks about the picking pattern (besides the bass)

The part I don't know in the second video doesn't really talk about the left hand or right hand.

I apologize for how jumbled this question is, it is just hard to explain.

  • What song should I learn on guitar?

I just finished learning Mood for a Day by Steve Howe, it is definitely my favorite song to play right now. I really like the Spanish feel to it. Other songs that I really enjoy playing are (not in any particular order):

The Entertainer (Not the Chet Atkins version, just the piano transcription)

    Blackbirds - Paul McCartney

    Classical Gas - Mason Williams

House of the Rising Sun - The Animals

I'd Love to Change the World - Ten Years After

    Yesterday - The Beatles

Closer to the Sun - Slightly Stoopid

Dust in the Wind - Kansas

    Bron-Y-Aur Stomp - Led Zeppelin

    Black Dog - Led Zeppelin

Over the Hills and Far Away - Led Zeppelin

The Cave - Mumford and Sons

Sound of Silence - Simon and Garfunkel

    Classico - Tenacious D

As you can see, I play mostly finger picking stuff but I am open to any suggestions I really, really, suck at using a pick though...

  • What song should I learn next on guitar?

I love finger picking. I just finished learning Classical Gas (Mason Williams) a few days ago and it is now my favorite song to play I was hoping someone could suggest something like that (around the same skill level) for me to learn.

  • !!!!!!!WWE VS. TNA!!!!!!!?

I was really really bored, so I did a tournament bracket between WWE and TNA:

    http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0AlMZU7zNU8...

On the WWE side I think I did an okay job, but I don't know very much about TNA, and I kind of got lazy, so feel free to revise anything you want... In fact It would be awesome if you could tell me anything you think should be changed

oh and there is a basketball on the bracket, but that's just because I used a 2009 basketball tournament bracket, and because I'm new to Google docs, I don't know how to remove it.

  • How To Put on the Glovemate?

my sister just bought a brand new glove, so it's not broken in at all, so whenever I play catch with her, her palm area kept getting hurt. I bought her a glovemate palm protector, it came with this leather string type thing but I don't know how to attach it to the glove... I read the directions but I don't understand steps 4 and 5... here are the instructions:

Step 1) Tie one end of the leather tether to the hole on the Glovemate.

Step 2) attach Glovemate to the players hand.

Step 3) insert hand inside ballglove.

Step 4) measure how much of the leather tether is needed in order to tie (attach) the other end of the tether to the "thumb-knot" on the outside of the ballglove (with just a little "slack").

Step 5) Tie (attach) that end to the "thumb-knot".

Step 6) Cut off the remaining (unused excess) of the tether.

Now Glovemate will stay attached to the ball glove so that players will not lose or "misplace" it.

    can anyone help?

  • kind of long but if you read the whole thing you will pee your pants?

    Grandpa and the IRS

The IRS decides to audit Grandpa, and summons him to the IRS office.

The IRS auditor was not surprised when Grandpa showed up with his attorney.

The auditor said, 'Well, sir, you have an extravagant lifestyle and no

full-time employment, which you explain by saying that you win money

gambling. I'm not sure the IRS finds that believable.'

I'm a great gambler, and I can prove it,' says Grandpa. 'How about a

    demonstration?'

The auditor thinks for a moment and said, 'Okay. Go ahead.'

Grandpa says, 'I'll bet you a thousand dollars that I can bite my own eye.'

The auditor thinks a moment and says, 'It's a bet.'

Grandpa removes his glass eye and bites it.

    The auditor's jaw drops.

Grandpa says, 'Now, I'll bet you two thousand dollars that I can bite my

    other eye.'

Now the auditor can tell Grandpa isn't blind, so he takes the bet.

Grandpa removes his dentures and bites his good eye.

The stunned auditor now realizes he has wagered and lost three grand, with

Grandpa's attorney as a witness. He starts to get nervous.

'Want to go double or nothing?' Grandpa asks 'I'll bet you six thousand

dollars that I can stand on one side of your desk, and pee into that

wastebasket on the other side, and never get a drop anywhere in between.'

The auditor, twice burned, is cautious now, but he looks carefully and

decides there's no way this old guy could possibly manage that stunt, so he

    agrees again.

Grandpa stands beside the desk and unzips his pants, but although he tries

hard, he can't make the stream reach the wastebasket on the other side,

so he pretty much pees all over the auditor's desk.

The auditor leaps with joy, realizing that he has just turned a major loss

    into a big win.

But Grandpa's attorney moans and puts his head in his hands.

'Are you okay?' the auditor asks.

'Not really,' says the attorney. 'This morning, when Grandpa told me he'd

been summoned for an audit, he bet me twenty-five thousand dollars that he

could come in here and piss all over your desk and that you'd be happy about

    it.'
