  • Damaged photo memory card?

Hi - my mom dropped the memory card from her phone in a parking lot. She went back and did find it, but she thinks it might have gotten run over by a car. It really doesn't look outwardly damaged, but I can't get my computer to read it. I've looked into recovery programs like Zero Assumption, but they seem to need the card readable to work

    Any ideas I can try?

    Thanks

  • Older Cat with New kittens?

We have a 16.5 year old cat we've had from the time she was a kitten. We got her and her brother at the same time, he died last fall. We got 3 kittens in December, they are 6 months old now and are littermates.

We did the slow introduction to the current cat, but she made it clear she didn't like those "fuzzy little race cars" as someone put it. She growls if they get close to her, esp. if she's cuddling with me. I'm giving her all the loves she wants, and she sleeps with (more like on) me. She has hissed and swatted at them. All pretty much what I expected, even if I had hoped she'd take to them a little.

I have noticed over the last few days that she has been sniffing noses with them once in a while, albeit growling while doing so most of time. I'm hoping that's a sign she's coming around, is it? They have started to calm down a bit and not run around quite as wildly.

    Thanks.

  • Causes of Hyperthyroidism?

Over Thanksgiving, one of our 17 year old cats(We had a brother and sister) died from hyperthyroidism. About 3 years ago, we brought a semi-feral cat who had been born in our backyard in the house. She had been spayed and we had her checked out by our vet before doing so. This are around the time the older cat was diagnosed.

He was my husband's buddy, and hubby took it hard. The other day he said "I brought Patches(wild cat) in and it killed Charlie". I told him I didn't think she caused his hyperthyriodism, but I wanted to ask here, could it have?

He was the alpha cat and didn't seem bothered by the new addition. She pretty much stayed out of his way.

Thanks, I'd like to ease hubby's guilty feelings if I can.

  • After the cast for a broken foot comes off?

Is it normal for the other leg to feel sore and stiff?

I was in a fiberglass cast, then a cast boot for 4 months. About 2 weeks ago, I started transitioning to regular shoes, and my other leg has been bothering me. My knee and hip are sore and get stiff if I sit too long. I'm wondering if it's just re-adjusting to walking normally again?

  • Broken foot and car insurance coverage?

I broke my foot in August, and am still wearing a cast boot. Over the weekend, friends told me that if I were to get in an accident driving with it, my insurance wouldn't cover me, because of the injury. It's my left foot, and I have an automatic car. Are they right? I'm in the USA.

  • Broken foot not healing well - what could be next?

I broke my 5th metetarsal about 5 1/2 weeks ago, a spiral fracture. I went to the doctor yesterday because the cast they put on was cracking by my big toe. They decided to take it off, and then have me wear a boot as needed. However, the X-rays showed that it's not healing as well as we had hoped, in fact it looks worse in that the bone is a little displaced, it wasn't before. I'm going to see a podiatrist, but in the meantime I'm wondering what the possibilites for further treatment are? Will I likely have to have surgery, or can something else be done?

    Thanks.

  • What happens when the cast comes off?

I have 2 more weeks in my short-leg cast for a broken foot, it will be 6 weeks total. I'm assuming the Dr. will do X-rays to see how well it healed, what else might happen? Will I have to wear any kind of brace for a while? How long before I will feel normal again?

I realize that none of you can know for sure, I'm just looking for some other people's experiences really.

    Thanks.

  • How long should a broken foot hurt?

I broke my foot on August 15th, according to my doctor it's a spiral fracture, on the outside bone midfoot. I've been in a walking cast since the 17th. It still hurts on and off, not bad but annoying. Is this normal as it heals?
