  • Someone who knows computer coding! How do I write this program?

    There is a computer that I am forced to work on that is on a network. I do not have administrator access, but would like administrator access for various reasons (it's not because I want to screw up the computer, it's more because the CRT monitors have a ridiculous refresh rate and I want to change it before my eyes fall out of my sockets and my brain turns upside down). I have tried making an administrator account using the following code:

    "@echo off

    net user hidden passwordhere /add

    net localgroup Administrators hidden /add"

    Unfortunately, since I am not an administrator, I do not have the permissions to perform this task. Neither do I have the permissions to install a program, but I have noticed that there is one place where I can. It is a webpage that my company hosts that allows you to download and install certain programs that us employees might need for work. I opened up the program in Notepad and I found the following permissions:

    "<trustInfo xmlns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:asm.v3">

    <security>

    <requestedPrivileges>

    <requestedExecutionLevel level="asInvoker" uiAccess="false"></requestedExecutionLevel>

    </requestedPrivileges>

    </security>

    </trustInfo>

    <dependency>

    <dependentAssembly>

    <assemblyIdentity type="win32" name="Microsoft.Windows.Common-Controls" version="6.0.0.0" language="*" processorArchitecture="*" publicKeyToken="6595b64144ccf1df"></assemblyIdentity>

    </dependentAssembly>

    </dependency>

    </assembly> "

    I am not familiar enough with code to write a program with these permissions that allow me to make a new account. Is that possible, and if so, what would the code be?

  • FM/AM radio app for Android?

    I've heard that there is an application for Android that turns your headphones into an antenna and allows you to listen to FM or even AM radio. I know that seems kind of pointless when there are free internet radio apps like Pandora, but that really eats up data and battery life. Does anyone know of an app that lets you have legit FM radio? Thanks!

  • What's the name of this movie...?

    It takes place in a really poor part of India, and these two brothers grow up in slums. Eventually they run away and meet a girl, and they go out but get caught by an "orphanage" which really hurts the kids...the two brothers escape but they leave the girl behind and the "orphanage" puts her into the sex trade. The two brothers eventually find her and one of them is in love with her...they have a big argument and it gets messy after that...it's a really famous movie.

  • Is it legal to advertise on public property?

    In my town of Normal, IL, which is a college town, several links to websites and organizations have been posted via chalk onto several buildings and sidewalks around the campus. I wish to advertise my Facebook page, and I would do so by writing the URL in chalk. Is this legal? I do not have permission from the city, and doing anything such as painting would definitely be illegal. But due to the fact that it is temporary and will only last until the next rain, I am unsure. Any help?

  • Is Nu Finish car wax safe to use on vinyl decals?

    I have recently acquired a used 2002 Chevrolet S10 Xtreme. It needs waxed, bad, and I was wondering if Nu Finish would put a white film on the silver stripes, like it does on plastic. I like Nu Finish because it applies and takes off easy and looks real nice, but I want to use a wax that doesn't ruin the vinyl. Any suggestions?

  • My mom just passed out...?

    My dad got her home from the restaurant and she passed out in the hallway, she complained of severe stomache pain and shoulder pain. She says she's really cold and has four blankets over her. About 12 years ago she was in a really bad car accident that messed up her heart and back and she has a weak heart in the first place (Mitrovalve Prolapse). She was at Biaggi's and had a mild alcoholic beverage, and she has bad ulcers.

    What caused this, and should we seek immediate/serious medical attention?

  • How do I fix my computer stuttering?

    I've got a Dell Inspiron 6000 and I got a brand new 140 GB hard drive. I reloaded XP but I found that every 2 or so seconds to every 5 or so seconds it freezes for just a fraction of a second...everything freezes, the video, the sounds, and the cursor. This is extremely annoying, I've tried cleaning the registry and reloading XP and even loading Ubuntu from a flash drive, it still does this. Does anyone have any suggestions?? :/
