Wheel wobbles? Whats the issue?
My mom has a 1994 Toyota Tercel, 4 door. She flipped it the other day, and managed to do very minor damage. After fixing the body work done, and getting new tires, we noticed that her rear wheels wobble. I can put my foot on the top of the tire and wobble the entire rim and drum brake assembly. Someone suggested wheel bearings, and someone else suggested axle bearings. Any way I can tell what precisely it is, and what would be an estimate of cost to fix? I am slightly mechanically inclined, how hard would it be (and what tools would be required) to change such as wheel bearings and/or axle bearings?
3 AnswersToyota1 decade agoWhat kind of bike?
Alright, I will be looking to buy a motorcycle when I get back from Iraq (january of 09.) I am trying to get a few ideas now so I can have a better idea of what I want when I get home. Basically, I am looking for a sport bike, but since I have never had a bike before, it would need to be something good for a beginner rider. I also like the aggressive look of the rider with the larger bikes.
Now, the biggest problem with that is I am 6'4, so getting a small bike isn't an option. I was looking at the ninja 650R, but its a 'sit up' bike, not a lean down aggressive look such as the ZX14.
My final issue is I am wanting to stick to a new bike, at around 7 grand or so. Is there any hopes for my likes and requirements? Or am I either too much of a cheapskate or too big?
6 AnswersMotorcycles1 decade agoBra types?
I am buying some lingerie for my wife, and I have a question. What is the difference in a pushup bra, a contour bra, and a demi bra? They all look the same to me! I know what a sports bra is, but thats about it lol.
4 AnswersFashion & Accessories1 decade agoFormat vista for xp?
Anyone had the opportunity to format a computer running vista and reinstall XP? I am thinking of doing such, any suggestions? I know vista is more of a memory hog than XP, so hopefully it will run slightly faster.
4 AnswersSoftware1 decade agoTurion vs. Athlon?
Anyone have experience in processors, the difference between the AMD Athlon and AMD Turion? I read some stuff, how the Turion is supposedly the newest line, 64 bit processor made for power conservation. Any comments, pros and cons of the turion? Getting a laptop with it in it, and I don't know much about them.
3 AnswersLaptops & Notebooks1 decade agoAdvise about marital problems?
Alright, here is my situation. I have been with my wife for about two years, six months of it being married. We have a seven month old daughter. Before we had our daughter, we never fought about anything. Money, intimacy, etc. Now when she had the baby, shortly thereafter she started having signs of depression. So, finally I took her to the doctor. She was diagnosed with situational depression, and was given some medicine. My quesion is actually involving intimacy. I have tried helping her as much as I can to get through her depression. However, she is never in the mood to be intimate. I can't even kiss her, or cuddle her, or anything hardly anymore. She will allow me to perform cunnilingus on her maybe once a week, but I am lucky to get anything whatsoever once a month. I have expressed my concern to her, as I am getting into my sexual peak and am feeling quite starved. Anyone have any advice?
8 AnswersOther - Family & Relationships1 decade agoWill this amp work for these speakers?
I picked up a Sony Xplod 600 watt amp. 55X4 at 4ohm rated, max 600 @ 2ohm (bridged for subs.) I have some Sony Xplod 6.5" in my doors, 50 watt @ 4 ohm rated, max 250 watt. I know that you don't wanna push more to the speakers than they can handle, putting this amp on these speakers would be 5 more than RMS. Would this still work, or be pushing it to blow the speakers? I got them from wal mart, so they arent anything special.
2 AnswersCar Audio1 decade agoIf bugs hit your car while you are doing between 90 and 100 mph, can they leave the imprint in your clearcoat?
Ok, first off I don't wanna hear any "its dangerous!" speeches about the speed.
Alrightie, now that is finished....
I occasionally do highway stretches when driving out of town that are pretty open, and its early in the morning/late afternoon, so I sometimes go between 90 and 100 MPH. Bugs hit the car, and I have tried goo gone, pressure washing, clay bar, etc. I can't seem to get the splat off my car. Is it possible they damaged the clear coat, and if so or if not, how would I go about getting the splat off?
5 AnswersOther - Cars & Transportation1 decade agoTree sap on paint, will this work?
I have a 2007 black mazda 3. I noticed what I believe to be treesap drops all over my paint. I tried washing and such, and it doesn't come off. I can scratch it gently with my fingernail and get it off. I am wondering if anyone has any good ideas to get it off, or if one of those green scrub pads from the dollar store will work, as long as I don't put too much pressure. I know I risk scratching the paint if I put too much pressure...Any clues?
4 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs1 decade agoHow to tell if head is warped?
Alright, someone said something about the possibility of a warped head....97 Chrysler Concorde, two or three different posts about it so far. Neighbor did just buy the car...Is there a way to verify if the head is warped? New radiator hoses, replaced thermostat, flushed radiator and engine, leaky reservoir cap....Fans come on (possibly later than they should) coolant level does not drop in the reservoir when engine heats up, after flush and changing things...Before changing, when it overheated it would shoot water at very high pressure from the relief hose on the coolant reservoir. Any ideas, and if there is a way to verify a warped head?
5 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs1 decade agoOverheating more slowly after thermostat, radiator hose change, and radiator flush...Whats the deal?
Alright, 1997 Chrysler Concorde. Took off the radiator and flushed it, changed both upper and lower radiator hoses. At the time, I figured I would see if I could also flush the flow of water through the engine. I stuck a hose in the thermostat housing and it flowed through...So I took it off to change the thermostat, and someone had removed it totally. So I put a new thermostat, new thermostat housing, both radiator hoses, and flushed the radiator. The coolant reservoir isn't leaking, but the cap is. However, it is still overheating, just not as quickly. The water pump is working, the top hose gets hot. I am thinking there is a possible clog in the return line from the reservoir to the engine/radiator, but does anyone else have any ideas? After changing everything (also new coolant, 1gal concentrated, rest water) it idled for a while, but the coolant bottle never dropped the level. It stayed full completely. Any ideas? Fans work, thermostat is within temp range. Properly bled radiator.

6 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs1 decade agoWhat causes boilover in a 1997 chrysler concorde, from the coolant reservoir drain hose?
1997 Chrysler Concorde, the top of the coolant reservoir (this car doesn't have access to the actual radiator, if you need to add fluid has to be done from the coolant reservoir) has the drain hose in case of overfill or boilover. The drain hose is attached to the reservoir, but the other end is not attached to anything. I noticed it overheating today, and when looking under the hood couldn't see any leaks. Under the car, there was a slight leak coming from the side of the reservoir (passenger side) almost behind and in front of the wheel. When I cut the car off, water started shooting from the hose for boilovers. That either shouldn't happen, or it should be routed back into the tank. Any clue what causes this? The fans work, and the top radiator hose gets pressurized while running, but after 5 to 10 minutes at idle it runs hot. Any clues?
4 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs1 decade agoOn a 1997 Chrysler Concorde, where does the top (smaller) hose on the coolant reservoir attach?
1997 Chrysler Concorde, top (smaller) hose on coolant reservoir is danging and dribbling fluid on the engine block. No idea where it hooks to, looked couldn't see anything. Approximately 1 foot long, maybe 1.5 ft. Could be cut, but it was an extremely clean cut if that is the case. Top hose goes into the neck right below the cap, whereas bottom hose is a little lower.
