Hi everyone, I live in Pensacola, and we've recently experienced heavy raining and some flooding along with power instability. Now, when i'm booting my computer, instead of seeing the usual Republic of Gamers motherboard splash screen I first see an American Megatrends screen which says a variety of cryptic messages. After a countdown, the startup will progress as normal. Does anyone know what this means? Some people have suggested hard drive failure, but the computer seems fine as I work on it now.

I'm writing a CMS for a website right now, and I have a mysql database with posts from admins. On the websites main page, I want to have the posts and the first 30 or so words and then ... with a "read more" link. Is their a way to take a php variable and basically trim off everything but the first x words. Thanks in advance,

Okay, so we have a stacked laundry unit currently, and the washer has been squeaking a bunch lately, and the repair man says we need to replace it. My problem is that I don't know anything about purchasing laundry units. We need one that is 27"w x 72"h max, and this time we want to buy them separately so if one breaks we don't need to replace both. The washer and dryer need to be front loading and stackable atop one another so therefore front loading. They also need to fit into a 27"x72" area (depth not a problem). Also, is it even worth buying them separately or is a combination the best way to go if i'm stacking.

Also, please don't just send me to a website like sears.com or something, it isn't helping me at all.

I'm trying to decide what college major to take when I apply next year. Can someone with experience please explain the difference in what they are as well as differences in career options for the two degrees. Thanks in advance.

Hey everybody, I'm working on learning php & mysql. I successfully set up the newest Apache & php and everything ran fine. I installed mysql and then phpMyAdmin to manage it. My problem is that whenever I go to //localhost/phpmyadmin, it gives me an error message saying that "The mysql extension is missing." It used to say: "The mysqli extension is missing" but I went to php.ini and temoved the ; before extension = mysqli. I tried removing the ; before mysql, but the error message remained. I've restarted apache, my computer, etc. Nothing is working.

Hey, I just installed the newest XAMPP version, and I am having trouble accessing the dashboard. It will only let me see it if I type in 127.0.0.1, not localhost. Also, PHPmyAdmin tells me that mySQL isn't working. Is it possible that these problems are related?

Okay, so i've been playing WoW and Burning Crusade for a while now. I want to play the lich king game and do the northrend quests so I can become a death knight. The problem is that i've heard players talk about how the Lich King is already dead and all the horde and alliance expeditions have returned home. So what's still there up in northrend? It would suck if nothing. Also, can you be on the scourge team still?

I saw a video game trailer at gamestop once, it was a strategy game, and in the beginning of the trailer, these guys in dark age armor charge down a slope and clash with others, then the leader like jumps and the scenery changes to the forest and the leader is in american revolutionary times (and shes a girl). Then she turns into a futuristic looking secret agent chick and then a robot. Anyway, if anyone else knows what game i'm talking about please post it.

It was the music from the DVD menu that was on a constant loop. I cant find it anywhere. It wasnt Bim Bam Smash or Extreme Ways by Moby.

Any help?
